Re: Sleeping too much
Sherry in trifle .. I remember that was the traditional Aussie way to do it ..
Yeah .. mild constant frazzle out there in the heat ..
Staying inside .. son changed his mind not to busk .. fine .. no pressure
@Shaz51 yes that is sad for hubby .. boys can pretend that christmas is the wives job .. pass the buck etc. Then the wives get the blame if they can hold the family together .. '
oops feeling cynical
Did see the vermin who pounced on me for phone contract ... the BSA .. he said he was going to gone that day .. he saw me .. we both avoided confrontation .. a lie is a lie is a lie
but i had a quite little chat with the manager .. and told him to put the pushy sellers over near the alcohol .. as thats where people who have money to burn often go. The manage got ot that for some fruit & veg is sacred.

Hi @Former-Member@Appleblossom

I heard Dr Phil once say "yes, we forgive but we're sure gonna walk on the other side of the road" A counsellor once helped me see that 'forgiveness is not reconciliation'
I also learned to forgive a long time ago - but forget - no - even walking on the other side of the road I have my memories - but I am not carrying anyone else's baggage
My GP still thinks I can patch it up with TS - I don't think so - I can understand her crappy behaviour comes from a mind that is shallow and flawed - but I do not like it and I don't have to like it
Anyway - this is the time of year when we maybe think of Christmas Past - and remember when we were kids - we seemed to get a lot for Christmas - but I figured out that Boxing Day was the day when the presents went back in the boxes - I remember wondering what happened to them but even as a child I had a memory people would envy - and regardless
Christmas Eve we would be strung up like strings on an over-tuned guitar - and bored stiff - all the cooking in the kitchen caused tension and the best thing that happened was when Dad took us down to the iceworks to get ice for the ice chest and carried it in on his shoulder with water dripping everywhere
Was it hotter back then?
I am not safe in the supermarket - I need someone else to push the trolley and I go at the same time every Friday but I found it a nightmare getting through the fruit and vegies - there have been times when I have needed the paramedics to get me onto my feet because I am easy to knock over - but yesterday - this was not going to happen - I am not sure if I have enough shopping but I had to get outa there
What is wrong with people - d'uh - it wasn't even Christmas Eve - and ENOUGH
Okay - we had a great party last night - one of my great grandchildren had the best Christmas ever - if anyone heard a small child doing a lot of squealing it was our kids Christmas Party- best time ever.
I am actually decking the walls with silver stuff and shiny balls today - I haven't done this for a few years - my little Christmas Tree with the decorations still on it was bent a little sideways but it smartened up with a little tweaking - the first year I had it was the first year I had my cat and she attacked the Christmas tree - this year she just played with the shiny balls - age is making her Christmas Tree friendly
I must be getting better about TS - I can't think of one thing to ring and talk to Life Line about her - I bet she is being a martyr about something but I am starting to feel tired about her
That's what's happening here today - I put some silver things on the front door - I think it's hot out there today
And I have Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol on TV - I am recording it to watch tomorrow
It is a good movie to watch and think about when I have a crabby crouchy TS - all the money in the world cannot make a person look better - they can have the best clothes and hair - but that cannot hide what is in their heart
What does The Prophet say about clothes
Clothes cover our loveliness but not our unloviness
So true - it goes for riches as well - we all need enough to be comfortable enough -
I am getting to erudite for Christmas Eve
Dec

Re: Sleeping too much
tears will fall
don't know why
the heart does call
say nothing right
or good enough
hard to breathe
or when to laugh
a disconnect
another loss
falling away
muscles drop
gone to bed
soft support
crying tears
alone I talk
no gift in hand
a single card
only his name
omitted his love
have I offended
exposing heart
'grow up mum
not that hard
distracting text
frequently call
busy here mum
too much talk
"ve in the now,
for we have no past
theyre not my memories
but yours to bask
so separate we are
our 'Christmas' dance
Stone high walls
broken heart, frosted glass
