Sleeping too much

There's a really beautiful book that showcases these drawings and poems from Terezin Concentration Camp called ...I never saw another butterfly.. probably where some of my inspiuration has come from.

You guys have certainly got me going tonight! - has been so long since I've been able to share on this subject - not many people around these days that actually 'care' - maybe because there are so many more current atrocities that we hear about - but the holocaust should never be forgotten - such an abuse of power and control and needless unimaginable loss of life.

Unfortunately the consequences are still carried by many even though it is not newsworthy. If those issues are not made known and clear then it can be called irrational. Your picture has helped me process a bit more @Zoe7 My childhood was full of "lucky I am not in a concentration camp moments." Yeah they were heaps worse than orphanages .. but its hardly a caring stance, and not one my Austrlian father employed, though he respected their issues it was not reciprocated. Mostly there were silences though. I had to care about Anne Frank, but the obvious current suffering upstairs or downstairs or out of the window was not addressed. I did care about her (AF and moeder) but I made the mistake of saying I thought she was petty about some of the others in the Annexe .. ffs I was 10. She was petty in that she was a young child surrounded by lots of oldies .. whereas where I had been .. it was different. Bloody crazy mother .. CPTSD is a much kinder diagnosis than schizophrenia .. no wonder she hated the word .. she spat it out ..very proud ..but at least I do understand why.

@Former-Member THE MOST ALIVE I HAVE FELT ON A WEEKEND FOR YEARS!!!!

Usually Saturdays are my worst day of the week and for the first time in (well forever) I've had amazing people and amazing support around me (thanks Forum members - not going to name everyone because I would undoubtedly miss someone very special). I think Friday night was a real turning point - being so low and having you guys around to help pick me up instead of travelling further down that whole was crucial. Just had tears in my eyes (from your kind works Tawney) - still haven't cried but getting close and that is huge progress. I do fear that if I start I won't be able to stop - but I'll cross that bridge when and if I get to it (probably have tobuild the bridge first LOL).

It's certainly taken me a bit of time to navigate around and the more I get to know everyone else the more comfortable I am I suppose in letting some of me out! (My one week anniversary on the forum is tomorrow - seems like I've been here forever) LOVE LOVE LOVE being here

Rolling Maltesers down the isle at the movies would be a waste of a good Malteser - Jaffa's don't count as chocolate (yuk)- roll away!
