Re: Sleeping too much
Feeling a bit flat. Not sure why. But since Thursday have been totally off the sleeping tablets. And even though the reduction in dose was slow - I think it will take another week or two for my body to get used to it.
Hope both if you ladies had a nice weekend. Any Christmas parties? Or staying home like me?

I thought I'd take some time to reply to your post because I think it's really important to give it the justice it deserves. Yes the consequences are still carried by more people than most people today could even begin to fathom. It's not just the survivors of the Holocaust and their direct families - it is also the generations of the survivors that have followed, the families of those who committed the atrocities, the countries that were involved and the wider outrage throughout the world that has continue to say 'Never Again'. With what we have to confront around the world today I think this is most important -Never forget what happened, never forget why, never forget the impact upon the world, never forget the impact upon so many generations and never forget that one person CAN make a difference - let's make sure that this ONE person in the future (whoever it may be) makes a positive difference.
In regards to your own experiences - you were 10 - I agree ffs. And your insight into Anne Frank was not wrong - just not a view that would have been seen as morally or politically correct to voice. As much as AF and her story have been seen around the world as a beacon of hope and of tragedy - there are many other stories just like hers that we will never know. And she was still a young girl trying to make sense of both herself and her situation - courageous and brave YES but still a young girl searching for her identity in the only world which she knew.
Finally - belittling ones situation in life and comparing to others is not only demeaning but demoralising. Any child should not be made feel like their thoughts are not heard (even if they seem wrong to the listener) and although AF's situation was absolutely horrifying, it should always be recognised that one person's pain or fears are no less important than anyone else's.
Me think @Former-Member might want to stop me on my huge posting dance tonight!! ![]()

You certainly didn't bring me down buddy - actually allowed me to find some of those things within me that I am passionate about - good to remember who I used to be and what I used to love talking about when I was 'well'. You actually helped me feel life within again and maybe even lit a small light that I can grow into sunshine again!
You also made me laugh - openly, outwardly laugh - THANKYOU. ![]()
Good luck with your boy tomorrow - sending all my good vibes, happiness and huge hugs your way ![]()

Wow, Love reading your intellect @Appleblossom
@Zoe7 that art is so soft and lovely.
Two friends from Uni just dropped by. The Man who won the best art of the 3 years was one of them and he is a support worker these days. His work was amazing. Oh well. Im sure that he is an awesome disability worker and it's great than what he was doing before.
This sentence @Appleblossom sounds very artistic. What does it actually mean?
" its good to make your own juxtapositions.

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi Peppi .. bak agen
I knew the german was written on the entry to the camps .. so when I saw @Zoe7 butterflies .. I knew she was trying to manage or integrate opposites .. or something like that .. I wasnt sure of what the connections were or exactly what @Zoe7 was getting at .. but I thought it was a powerful picture.. and it was political .. and of course I fell for it hook line and sinker.
@Zoe7 was more intellectual .. I was just gabbling on about my personal associations... and enjoying being online and on my laptop ... I was very cranky about computers for about 10 years .. but now I can see they have their uses.
Glad your arty friend is doing good work in disability @PeppiPatty .. its an area that needs art and creativity.
Nite @utopia * @Kurra

(really hope I haven't missed anyone)
Been her 1 week. Been one of the most inspirational, supportive and positive weeks (amongst all the pain and struggling) I have had for a very long time - and the only reason for that is because of the compassionate, caring, loving and insightful people that you all are. It's been a pleasure getting to know you all, connecting with you and feeling like I am not alone.
I cannot thank you all enough - you have helped me begin to find myself again - I really thought I was going to stay at the bottom of the well, never be able to see the light again and never be able to see a way to pull myself up.
You all show such compassion, courage, strength and insight. All have been invaluable to me throughout this week.
A heartfelt THANKYOU to you all.
With luv and hugs
