I understand @Shaz51. 💕
It is very sad to remember such hurtful things. I am so glad that you were able to share it with us.
I'm glad you feel better for saying it. 🌷🌺🌹🌸🌼🌻

Hi @Former-Member

Yess - I do understand what you are saying about your mother - and what other people are saying - what is it with some mothers - and fathers? My Dad was a great man but he made some bad choices about our mother and TS - but the regrets they suffered were the consquences of what they chose

I love the busty jokes - I was eating chocolate covered caramels and nearly sprayed my computer screen - loved them all - hey - can I add mine?

Of course - anyway - a waitress was at work and had a name tag on her leftie that said PAT - and one guy asked her "Can I?" and she said "No - that's her name" - so he asked "What's the other one called?" and he was told that he would have to come in the next day to find out

So the next day the rightie had a sign PAM - and the guy had to ask why PAT got to have her name tag most days but PAM only that day.

"Well - PAT'S a bit bigger than PAM - PAT'S the best one"

Anyway - I can't hear anyone laughing yet

I feel I have to go through these and answer more of them - the posts I mean

@TAB - you are our representative man - you are brave being a regular poster here with all us girls with stuff to say about the men in our lives - you have been noticed and probably being very tolerant. I am thinking of starting a thread about Women having to try harder to keep up in society - but at the same time I recognize that some men have it hard too and you would be one of those men - so I have you in mind as - as "our guy" and comments made about men are usually generalisations - cause you are one game guy and it has been noticed

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi everyone, trying to get going, really physically flat for some reason.

Mother replied to my joke 0656: "ok my boobs are nuts no joke ok so what at 82 what do you expect so what are your planes for today start with a cupa yesterday ya dad had 4 differient people all at differient times [in home help] he likes it over xmas R & M [my Bro3&4] have the same MH case worker hope your feeling well lv mum and dad"

0830hrs "Just got a reverse charge call from Mental Health Ward it was M... [my Bro#3], cop's picked him up last night took him in the clothes he stands up in"

Haven't replied yet, HONESTLY, JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY OR DO ANYMORE, ITS DISTRESSING. But how can i ignore family in need? Wheres the energy all gone. Yesterday I spent all day in bed, couldn't function, don't know why, today's looking the same, just shutting down or something. But can't tell them. Sorry, know i shouldn't complain so much.

Good to vheck in here, see how ya going each day, your journey in the moment, the back and forth rhythm of life in a cyber community. Hope i contribute enough for others.

Bad heat wave expected here this w'end.

Thanks @Decadian, think I missed the funny side of 'Pat & Pam' joke. I do however share the same sentiments about good old @TAB - thanks for putting up with us bro 🙂

Dratt, dogs need feeding, gotta get up, guess I need to have brunch or so - anyone up for a cuppa with me?

Re: Sleeping too much

ditto re pat pam humor @Former-Member just block her in one form or another maybe re mother and family , their problems are that, their problems, if it hurts you, and you cant help anyway, dont buy into it maybe.

Cuppa walk and enjoy dog that's Dr Tabs prescription today, ok iceblock in park if not too hot

been for a walk here already, 'f' friend who imploded on me/herself back in April actually sent me an email ..must be an xmas thing .. well she got help maybe dunno

quick run to shops, have to stay up late, am flying out to a site tomorrow morning, then start work 6pm, back Monday, then pre admission thing for hosp appt finally got lol. Not sure whether to tell them I have no one to go home to, may be a deal breaker re anaesthesia/procedure, cos then will need hosp bed and doubt if they have any, not sure who gets into hospital, but not me think last time was 30 years ago .. I have to sign a form saying I wont be alone for 24hrs after general anaesthetic. gotta love the health system surgeons and anaesthetists get nearly $10k a week, yet hospitals full, no money, waiting lists etc

Re: Sleeping too much

Gee @Former-Member

My family wrote me off through the worst years of my life - Dad got over it but not Mum and TS

So after having my mother snarl at me when she was in care I told her she had better not do that - I would not come back -

And why should anyone return for nastiness - I would go home alone and cry - and to have continued trying with Mum would have made me really unhappy and what is the point of that????

Then TS made a fuss about me not seeing Mum and I told her I had been writing to Mum and TS had been reading my letters but not letting me know anything. So to answer your question about needing to help your ailing family or not - like - can you help when you are so far away? - does it help them really? - or does it just wear you down? What's the point?

And it's okay to talk about it here - I certainly understand now unhappy it makes you feel - sheesh do I ever. I still wonder about TS's duty of care to our mother - when I wrote all those letters letting my mother know that I cared and wanted to see her and sending my phone numbers - and all the time I spent in the shops looking for the prettiest cards and note paper - and then TS tying to lay a guilt trip on me

What's the point - I can tell you that I have not had any regrets about not visiting my mother for about 2.5 years - why should I take a taxi to visit and than pay to go home just to be snarled at -

So - I am on your side sis - definitely the whole thing is just draining you and no one is running around to help you out

Don't feel bad - you will to a degree anyway - but there is no need at all
