Here's joke for you .... if the mods are okay with it and it doesn't get nixed ....
A teen comes downstairs wearing a shear top, her bre#sts clearly exposed through it. Grandma is cooking breakfast .... shrieks, "What do you think you're doing ? You can't wear that .... it's disgusting !"
Teen shrugs, responds with, "So ... my rosebuds are on show .... what's the problem ?" and walks out of the house ....
The next morning the teen comes downstairs to find Grandma cooking breakfast ... topless .... shrieks, "Grandma .. what are you doing ? That's disgusting !!"
Grandma doesn't miss a beat .... "If it's alright for your rosebuds to be on show, then it's alright for my hanging baskets too !"

Better off without a person like that @Shaz. Is it possible hes 'unwell?' My brother, with late onset paranoid schizophrenia, told his young teenage boys they were not his. that his mother slept around, once he said they were fathered by aliens... 10yrs later he still believes the delusional lies, and suffered all the pain of losing his family. They never try to contact him as well - told me as far as they are concerned he died and the illness took over. They don't talk anyone who talks to him, including the grandparents, myself... its a no win no matter what. So much pain. His psychosis came on with drug use, along with another brother, but mother has MI and messed with our heads (none of us are well). Makes me sad. Must be hard not knowing deep down, not ever having a the love of a father. So many broken lives 😞

I know someone who has MI who thinks her children aren't hers. @Former-Member Her MI became worse this year. Sad for her children. They are grown up, but still sad. xoxo
You must have sent the storm our way TAWNEY 😀 Thankfully no damage. Some were injured somewhere, not sure where. Was on the news.

That's something of WH's issues I think .... his dad never engaged with any of them. He was the breadwinner (and bread-loser .... gambling addiction) but that was about it. Served himself in life with a wife to cook and bottle-wash when he felt like coming home .... till eventually he left for another woman who wanted the big-spender lifestyle.
Mother used to give them "things" as a way of conveying whether they were good or bad .... they got given things when they were good, for being good, for looking after her. Life was all about things, but emotions weren't discussed .... emotional pain and injury weren't discussed .... value was placed on achievement and physical appearance, and expensive gifts.
It's another form of parental abandonment.
