Re: Sleeping too much

Oh thanks @Decadian, knew you'd relate. I know people brush off others isolating us because they can't face the feelings it surfaces within them, but that's like saying "more is required from those who lose the most" They take more from us by not being 'real' Add to the loss and deprive them self of personal growth - because they can, because they have a choice. We on the other hand don't have a choice, its in our face every day.

Thanks for sharing my burden, even while you're so crook. Didn't call out Teej because she has a bad night, forgot how crook you were sorry.

I'm OK now, she throws me for a bit every time, but, decided to risk it and reply with a joke, hopefully cheer her up a little {rather than get all heavy). I'll tell you too, maybe it will cheer you up too:

"What did one saggy breast say to the other saggy breast? 'We betta get some support here before people start thinking were nuts" lol

The attached picture was a teashirt with the inscription:
~ "ITTY BITTY T#TTY COMMITTEE " lol

Re: Sleeping too much

Wow! @Former-Member 💜
That sounds like something my mum would say.
I think we go through similar, when we have contact with our mum's.
Experience every emotion there is. 😮😯😨😣😞😩😶😢😓😠😢
It used to knock me around for days, tormenting me.
I handle it a little better, but that's because I stay away from her as much as possible.
I struggle with having limited contact with her as well, because I love her and want to be there for her and help her.
She's in her late 80's.
I have tremendous guilt for not being there for her (I'm working on the guilt), but even a very brief chat with her knocks me around.

I was feeling very guilty a few days ago and thought I was strong enough to pop in to see her. Haven't done so for months. Only very brief chats on phone. I very rarely answer my landline phone and she doesn't have my mobile number. 😮😯 I even feel bad about that. 😢
It was overwhelming listening to problems and crapp about family when I popped in.
Ended up feeling awful and really sad that we can't have a relationship.
The reason I wrote all this is to say that I think I understand what you go through with your mum. 😢😨😠💜

I know it's really hard, but try not to feel guilty about not being able to have much contact with her. I know it's hard. The only way I cope with it at the moment is to try and pretend my family aren't around.
I know that's not the best solution, but I don't know what else to do. It breaks my heart.

Maybe we can chat more about it, that might help us both. I really wish I knew what to do.

Big hugs @Former-Member 😙💜🌺🌹🌸🌷🌼🌻

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member I don't remember my mum or dad saying, I love you. Maybe they did, maybe mum did once????? I think our mums love us, but they just don't "get it" and don't know what to say.
I know that doesn't help how we feel though.

I was the giver and my brother (I don't like to call him brother) was the taker.
Now I just want to keep away from them. It's too hurtful. Never, never changes.
Have to rush. Chat soon. xo 💕

Re: Sleeping too much

@Thanks @Former-Member, you do seem to get it. I have a powerful value that drives my wanting to be there for my parents decline (when they let me) and yet a fear how I'll cope when they talked my all and leave me with no strength to stand.

I'm sorry your family suck too. I guess if their vital needs are taken care of then why stick our neck on the choppingvboard. Well, you know what I mean.
Where you going today? How's tour hubby and your girl?

Year @TAB, @Former-Member, @Shaz51, guess it is pretty selfish.
