Your just working stuff out are'nt you @Former-Member
It's fine to think your complaining, your not really.....you just have something to work out about church and it's really good that you work it out here than going into a cafe and crying about it........

Re: Sleeping too much
They have helped me in the past with counselling @TAB I really don't feel up to going and I am careful who I share my story with. I would hate to burden or upset anyone. I've moved forward from abuse etc. It's family stuff I'm working on. I see a psychologist when I need to.
I guess I'm raving on a bit, lol. I guess I started raving because @Former-Member mentioned self righteous people. Whoops! I'll stop now. ![]()

Re: Sleeping too much
Awww @Former-Member .... doesn't come across as bad-mouthing the church and the people .... none of us is perfect and some who get a lot done in the churches are missing the sort of sensitivity chip that enables them to be compassionate .... they need others to teach them that side of things, but the flip-side is that they need to be open to learning too .... but both are needed ..... the compassion and the service that keeps it all running.
If there are too many organisers with not enough compassion, they actually block the real reason the church exists .... it's an observation rather than a bad-mouthing .... sociology if you like .... at least that's my perspective.
And yeah .... these forums are carrying the compassion role .... sweet ❣

Re: Sleeping too much
Yes, it;s good that we can share how we feel on here @Faith-and-Hope without the feeling of being judged and knowing that most people on here understand. It's rare these days to have someone understanding to talk to.
I managed to get out to Spotlight after lunch and bought some more white blinds. The sale ended today and I forgot to measure all the windows, but I bought 4 more. That will be enough for hubby to do in the meantime, lol. I was so impressed how they look in my girls room, that I decided to put them in all the windows. Will get more when the next sale is on, they have them regularly. It will make the house look bigger and fresher, can't wait. Nice to have a change. We have the bathroom and laundry to renovate still. Oh and kitchen and family room tiles to remove and replace. Not sure where to begin.
I've still been feeling very depressed etc., hard to get moving etc. Thanks for asking.
When I see certain people in town, it can take me a while to get over it. The hurts etc., one in particular I saw on Friday night. They saw the cut on my wrist years ago and have never asked if I'm ok. This was the pastor of the church I was going to. I went through a really bad patch years ago and no one could help me, or even tried to. I think what really hurt was, my hubby kept going to church every Sunday and not once did anyone ask how he was coping (they knew I was going downhill fast with alcohol etc). I would have thought they would have asked how he was, but, no. Sorry, I feel bad raving on.
I'm not sure if you know, a nurse recommended I take a certain anti anxiety med when I have skin cancers cut off. Anyway they caused cravings for alcohol and I went on a downward spiral. Stopped the meds eventually, craving stopped straight away, amazing. I guess I come on here to distract myself from how tired and depressed I feel. It helps me keep my mind off how awful I feel. I really should go and do my stretches and get ready for bed. xoxo

Re: Sleeping too much
Im looking for some advice to whoever is around. I am having a difficult time with my counsellor. For The first few months I pulled her in (BPD term) and she has become frustrated with me lately and I want to push her away before she abandons me. I am also scared because this was the pattern with my last psychologist. She abandoned me a year ago this week and it's playing on my mind. I've been reading old emails from my old psychologist and it feels like history repeating and it's doing my head in. For me it's the most difficult relationship to break because it's the only time I've ever truly opened up to someone, my last psychologist and now my counsellor. I had seen this counsellor for nearly three years earlier and was never so honest or open as I am now this time around. Any thoughts. I know it's left of field for most, just putting it out there on the off chance someone had ideas.
