Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Shaz51
Thanks - I slept well last night even though I had slept during the day - and going to bed late means I sleep late - well - it doesn't really matter of course because there is just me and the cat
But how does she know the moment I wake up - she gets up from wherever she is on the bed and makes her way toward me with a creaky meow - and tries to play the "scratching in the litter tray" game so I will let her out.
No way - I get my breakfast drink and a couple of Anzacs and weave my way past my alarm and press the button to let them know I have survived the night and weave my way back to my medication and take my tablets and get back into bed - and she is learning that playing in the litter tray is likely to get her shut in the bathroom with it - so she snuggles on the bed with me and this is wonderful
I love it that my cat gets up to mischief - it gives me something interesting to talk about - far from the madding crowd - let them rave on - my cat is spoilt rotten but knows them bare bones - there are things I will not tolerate
I hope you slept well @Shaz51 - and everyone else

Hello @Decadian
you are lucky that your cat doesn`t wake you up at 5-30 am -- doesn`t matter what time you go to bed , she wakes you up at that time .
she evens sits next to you staring at you , you know she is looking at you xx
I slept ok , with the kidney disease, i have to get up 3 or 4 times a night every night , it is good that i can fall back to sleep

Re: Sleeping too much
I don't believe you can "overthink" your Mum @TAB - unless you start feeling guilty about things you have no control over
And yes - I do remember you still have your Dad at 92 - what a great birthday present to lose his licence - NOT!!
Does he have a taxi card that will pay half his taxi fare - I have one of those - and I figure that with the cost of driving - petrol, oil, maintenance, parking, road-side service, registration and insurance, repairs and replacements - it is probably cheaper and easier on the mind to get a taxi
But then there have been times when I haven't been able to get one - and being stranded is no fun either - but I was stranded from time to time when my car broke down
Yeah - I still wish I had my licence though - I had to stop driving because of my spine -
You care about your mother - of course you will think about her - I always thought about mine - but there are things that can't be helped
