Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member sorry for gate crashing, seems people have ended up back here again

My cat is elderly @TABand @Shaz51

She is learning my rules - I have been woken up at all hours by a face full of whiskers - that has to be a bad way to start the day - and a wet nose - ugh - I guess I shoved her away often enough to stop that but now I have written this she is likely to do it again - even though I know she can't read English -

And she is right behind me now - asleep on the back of the couch - I can see her reflection in my screen -

I wrote this little ditty about one of my other cats - many years ago

She clicked across the kitchen floor

And scratched the paintwork of the door.

She took her body out and then

Wanted to come in again.

Screwed up she tried an awkward scratch

And licked a thoughtful tasting patch.

She yawned and snapped a fearsome clack,

Then glared at me while I stared back.

I love my cat - she can do wrong - yes - but I love her to bits

I love all of this - Snugly (not her real name) is 13 and thinks shes 3 - and she still doesn't know she is a small cat - but has given up mousing and trying to take on the ginger tom-cat - (I haven't seen him lately either - perhaps he has had his knickers knacked)

In her old age she knows so much - and luckily knows when she has gone to far

@TAB -she doesn't like my computer either - but I had an old desktop many years ago and she jumped onto the keyboard to get at the fish on the screen-saver and a crazy cockatoo in the works set of a loud alarm and the cat nearly went through the door like a cartoon cat

She doesn't like my mobile phone either - I play games on it and she insists on having me to herself when she is sitting on my lap - and gives up and walks off in a huff - I made her one especially to go off in but it didn't work - she can be in a huff without props

I'm sorry @Shaz51 about your husband's gall bladder problems and your have kidney disease - that must mean very basic meals with lots of restrictions

And everyone - I have enjoyed this chat so much but I have the feeling I had better post this letter now - the wind is getting worse and rather scary - very scary actually

I will probably need to lie down with the hot pack and read when I get home so I wish everyone fun with chatting - help with serious stuff and better weather
