Re: Sleeping too much

Interesting, Supernova's email feedback on the posts she pulled down, said they were violent. I must be do use to it - don't see it as violent, argumentative yes. Oh, I'm too tired to bother. Enjoying my cinnamon honey toast & earl grey tea.

Re: Sleeping too much

Yes @Former-Member .... I think you have become acclimatised to your bro's email content .... but I could see how it could upset or trigger some .... that's not to say it's not important for you to express how you feel .... I can hear how much you love him and it's distressing to watch a decline, even from afar ....

There are some parallels with my WH situation .... just your bro's delusional thinking is more obvious to the outside world .... I am glad to have you to walk along with.

Your garden sounds so peaceful in the gentle rain .... I have farmer rellies .... makes me think of times I have visited them .... and they had set up a massive bird-feeding post ❣ You could hear all the birds gathering for feeding time .... was too young to take note of their names .... but what a magical din it was .... 😊

And the cows would walk themselves in for milking ..... good cows ..... 😊

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi again @Former-Member

I hope I can catch up after a long weekend - '

About your back and mine - heat packs - yes - heat is the first thing I go for - I love it.

If I could not have my medication I would be annoyed - if I could not use heat I would be seriously dramatic - heat is fantastic

But I never use ice - it is often suggested - but I guess it helps some people but ice on a spine with a chronic condition is not really helpful -

I do use ice if my shoulders hurt or if I have a headache - so it does have it's place

But heat for a sore back is wonderful

And yes - while I am busy rattling on - for your tummy try probiotics - you can get them at a pharmacy - and I have learned that people can get there supplements in bulk and more cheaply

You do have a lot happening right now - I hope things are easier now - it has been a few days

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh, I love watching the cows. There was a farm i stayed at at Dorrigo NSW once, wbere a groip of us from Bible College did some Gospel Band Singing, the green hills & lush soil were beautiful. I remember going for a walk & feeling watched. I was in the middle of a paddock surrounded by beautiful brown & white fat cows ALL frozen in lime looking directly at me. An unfamiliar site I guess. Freaked me out briefly but they didn't charge lol. I often think I'd like to live in a place like that. Its quite glad here where I am. Miss the hills. You have the rivers, how lovely.

@Former-Member

We have the river, but the land is dry over this way .... I believe the weather tends to travel west to east all around the world, although it mixes up a bit sometimes with fronts coming through or whatever .... but generally the west coast on the main continents are dry, and the eastern seaboard is lush and green. That's just my understanding ... might be wrong.

To me, nothing beats rolling green hills and beautiful green shady trees .... hills dotted with cows, sheep, horses ....

There is something magical about the river water tho .... in all its different states and lights .... reflects gorgeous colours. As an artist I can sit and watch it, and paint the colour contrasts in my mind .... blue and brown are often there together in the waves .... but it's not a combo you would imagine if you think of water ripples. You have to stop and look at the colours that are actually there .... really see them.

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @Decadian, I can't stand ice for pain either (accept bruises, bites & stings), not for deep pain., give me a heat pack any day.
Gardening yesterday was weird, all across the back of the neck & shoulders - so much pain, but more spasm, I couldn't hold head & and had to lay down in tears. Not had that before but it didn't come back as bad second time round. Maybe using the shovel or the giant scotch gray mozzies that got my neck before I ran for the aerogard lol Who knows. Don't like getting older. Never been good at moving the body but this arthritis - ouchy! How do you do it Dec? Just have to I guess.

You know, you say I have a lot going atm, I don't see it that way because I'm alone & its so quiet here. Mostly internal stuff. The surprising thing is - even though teary and missing everyone, there's no SI today, or last night. Must be the gardening I did.

Really raining here now, yay, had to shut a couple of windows.

Hmm, F&H, I will take a second look at those colours next time I'm by the water. You sure do have the eye of an artist. Its all in the lighting they tell me. I have just realised I can enhance pics in my phone, particularly like bringing out the vibrant colours. Brings the picture alive. I think heaven will be like that.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

Perhaps we can stand back and see other people's lives through what they say and see things differently - not better nor worse - differently

But yes - I think you have a lot going on - you are doing all these renovations which much be hard work - and you get back pain and today - shoulders - and you have big mozzies - hate mozzies - I get big sores from mozzie bites -

And then you have your mother and your irritiating brothers and your brother with MI and it seems that everyone is trying to lay it all on you

And this is before what you have going on inside - we all have a lot happening inside - which makes me wonder

Perhaps we are the sane and sensible people in society because we have a lot happening inside - we think through things and perhaps overthink - but is this a wrong thing? Maybe - but all the normal people seem to me to be the ones who are weird - well - not all of them - but among some of the people I know there are people who don't want to know the truth because it upsets them - they insist it never helps to talk about things - or get upset if someone tips the apple cart if they have been abused in some way

Anyway - that is in passing - I was sick for two weeks - and still feel really tired though I believe I am better - and have just spent a long weekend alone - first because I was tired and then yesterday was too windy - and I guess I have been feeling isolated.

So - How do I do it @Former-Member? There's a lot I don't do - I think I would like a bicycle but then - I do not want to aggravate my spine - I have people do my housework - the heavy stuff - and I have an attitude

My pain specialist has reduced my medication over time and she has gone too far - she says I look better and I am more alert and my mobility is improving. Sometimes I could screech like a demented parrot - I am walking better because I have good shoes from that give my feet more support and I am feeling better since my mother died and I have had psychotherapy about that - and life is easier for me now she has gone - all the repressed stuff - at least I hope it's all the repressed stuff - has gone and yes - I am more alert and cope with the pain better

But I still have the pain - it has increased with the reduction of my medication - and this is not easy @Former-Member - how do I cope with this?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - one day at a time - and for the best part that is okay as long as I don't push things - but when I get sick with something else - eg - sinusitis - it gets pretty well horrible - but I would rather be alone with it - and I can please myself what I do to pass the time

Otherwise - I don't know how I deal with it - a lot of the time I feel I battle to keep up - but at least there is no one around nagging at me to do this or that - which is a very good thing

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member. I've been thinking of you so much lately too. I've read most your posts including the article you found and posted to me the other day. I want to reread it because it seems really helpful. I'm so sorry that you've had such a difficult time with feeling alone but also dealing with the stress of your brothers situation. I was also upset that your son would say three texts a week is too much. I know I can't do anything to change all your stresses but please know I care for you and want the best for you too. You will always have a family here when your real life ones are causing you pain and you need time out from them. I'm sorry I haven't replied much but I always tried to read them. I've missed replying to @Faith-and-Hope posts a bit too but it's just because I've been distracted or busy or exhausted. I know I've been really hit and miss with my posts. Anyway I'm hoping you have a good day tomorrow. When I get home again I'll be looking for your inspiration for some home renos or gardening inspiration. Take care. Sending hugs 💜😊🤗💐
