Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. It doesn't matter why or how. The reality is that we are all here and all doing the best we can. Some days are good. Some are bloody hard.
I would love to see resilience, stress management, relaxation etc taught in all primary schools across Australia.
& just like @Former-Member said - you are an asset here.
I believe we all are

Re: Sleeping too much

One day they will realise that MOST mental illnesses are situational .. It is better for us all if that day comes sooner than later.... they will be mostly due to cPTSD ... its all in the complex.

Borderline Personality Disorder .. just means the BOUNDARY between psychosis and neurosis ... so yes @Former-Member it is seen as a serious issue .. usually in severity above depression but less than schizophrenia ... ...

Chemical Imbalance theories ... are just that .. the body has energy .. electricity and chemistry .. like all matter.

Re: Sleeping too much

I can sleep for 18 hours for a few days then I have a good day then go back down hill with depression and sleep for a couple of days.
I get up and sit on the lounge then sleep on the lounge.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Radant, welcome to the forums :). Gosh, sounds like you've got the 'sleeping too much' bug too. Gotta work out the causem - environment (lifestyle), behavioural (escaping) or physical (body or organ dysfunction). Sometimes its hard to know if 'the chicken comes before the egg' but your GP can order tedts to rule out most physical organ dysfunction (eg thyroid, diet, medication, sleep apnoea, anemia, anemia etc).Mine is depression mostly, escape, & perhaps a fair measure of bad habit. Get it looked into, its not the way to live, things can get better. Talk to your Dr, let us know how you go.

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh, @Appleblossom, "an urgent message" - wonder what it means? Time will tell. I was just reading how you miss your daughter and feel for you in that, its not fair. Have you heard the French saying: TU ME MANQUES" ?
In French, you don’t really say “I miss you.” You say “tu me manques,” which is closer to “you are missing from me.”

I love that. “You are missing from me.”

We never forget our kids, or any who were once a true part of us. Just with you my friend 🙂
