Re: Sleeping too much

Hello @Appleblossom, @Former-Member, @Former-Member, @utopia, @Decadian, how is everyone today xx

glad we have the mods help ... cos I am hopeless with those boundaries. We do need to dip into talking about the real issues that we are confronting or there will be no healing .. just a superficial chat that wont have the pull . . of deeper talk. --- sooo true my friend , and you have helped me sooo much over the last 13 months @Appleblossom

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh @utopia, been through all I hat tug-a-war custody access saga. Its so unnatural. I think if memory serves me well, changing custody arrangements need yo be put in writing, its so hard on the kids, especially when one parent is behaving like a spoilt brat child himself. I'd be angry too. Keep a diary of ALL interactions with his. Can you make him do ALL the driving? Especially pick up? When my daughters dad failed to turn up, we made a day of it and i often tried to do something special to ease her pain & release my tension. Its not fair, and we are all too often painted the bady vecause we get upset. You have to detatch somehow. Do you have support?
Try do something special with your son, perhaps make it a 'good' thing for hom when dad cancels. Sending hugzz

Re: Sleeping too much

Rant and swearing warranted @utopia. I'm so sorry he is an arse and put you and your son through this. Your son will work it out, mine have. 2 now cut contact with him the other two still see him but are aware of his games. I guess the highlight came from me when my eldest at then 17 said I'm so glad we got to grow up with you. (mind you this was before my mi). It made it all worthwhile.
I think you have every right to be fuming. I'm not sure how you go but I haven't had any contact with my ex for about 6 years now, all arrangements were done through the kids which was ok as they only saw him twice a year as he lives interstate. BUT so many times I had no idea what plane they were meant to be on when. It was a mess. Enough about me, just wanted to share that your not alone with this crap (@leia too).
It freaked me out that you have to sleep off your anger too. I thought I was the only one who did that. Pretty much the only way I can deal with it without taking it out on myself even though someone else caused it. I hope you wake up more relaxed. Here for you @utopia. Maybe we'll have a virtual drink at the beer garden later💜😊🍸🍷🍹

Re: Sleeping too much

Wow that would have been hard whilst heavily pregnant @Former-Member. You are really strong. I know your kids will see it too one day. It just takes a few years. Mine were 5,4,3and 8 months when we split. It took 12 years before I got the acknowledgement. Hang n there, it will be worth it.

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks everyone for understanding my need to vent. My boy is 14. We have not court papers. His dad didn't want him. He'd only see him 1 night - 2 at the most a fortnight.
Because of previous issues my son discusses arrangements with his dad. My boy probably got it wrong today. I told my boy im not angry with you at all. I'm angry your dad didn't include you in his family celebrations.
I need a nap after a long drive - & yes I can sleep through my anger. I learnt this at hospital.
We are off to my mums for dinner & then going to the movies to watch Bad Mums for a laugh. Maybe my boy will recognise I'm a pretty good mum afterwards
I'll check in late tonight.
Hope everyone is ok or at least feeling supported tonight
