@Former-Member
At this point I've decided not to apply. It's just stupid putting myself through all that angst and stress. There are some things in life we simply have to accept. It's got to be in by 20th so I've got time to change my mind if I want to do so.
Sleep well. I'm going to put this phone down and turn out the light.
Goodnight all.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

It's a funny thing about superstitions - and how the "touch wood" is so prevalent - I must look that up and see what it means

I can tell about many of the sayings in use and where they came from

About your Big Dipper life - you know - although in the journey of life you often slip-n-slide back to the beginning - you actually never do because in the meantime you have learned other things - and just because I have so much trivial info - think about a couple of board games

In Monopoly you never go "back to Go" - you go forward and collect $200 and if you go back - it's only as far as the gaol - and then there are "get out of gaol free" cards - and in Snakes and Ladders - the snake might go all the way back to the second space - from memory - but never to the first

So this is life - whoever invented the games had the idea -

After all that - I know how rocky life can be at times - but the years pass - do they ever - and we can look back to the days that made us feel so much despair - and remember them

Thinking of you and your roller-coaster experience of life -

Re: Sleeping too much

Hey @Former-Member

I have to go and get some new trousers myself - I wear trousers and shorts - I don't own a dress or a skirt - even my best clothes are classy tops and trousers -

Shopping in for clothes is hard though - I go to a warehouse not far from here and buy men's shirts - I like them better - they have decent seams that do not come apart on me - I have had so many ladies' shirts do that -

I know what you mean about clothes being far to young for you but you are not ready to look like and old lady - egad - I remember the dress I wore to my daughter's wedding - it was really classy but I felt it made me look middlep-aged - and I told my dd this and she said "You are middle aged" - aw - I don't feel that wearing trousers with different tops make me look middle aged at all -

But yes - that is something I have to do -

And those mirrors in the fitting rooms are trick mirrors you know - try changing in the men's fitting room - it is much easier on the eyes - I wonder why the mirrors in fitting rooms do that - could it be that the clothes we choose to try on really do not suit our taste or our age - or whatever - our weight or lack of it

I'm sorry this is happening to you - it happens to me - I am not ready to look like and old lady either - and my birth certificate has a year on it - the year I was born - once I was really young - but I didn't stay that way

And it is good to be back posting

Re: Sleeping too much

G'day everyone. Just going to have a rant and then get some sleep.
So I've just come back from a 4 & 1/2 hr return trip to take my boy to his dads for his 1 night a fortnight stay - don't bother asking why he only wants him 1 night.
So I get down there - knocking and ringing the bell. Odd. His dad should be at TAFE but his wife and her mum and the baby should be there.
So I ph THE DAD. They are at his brothers house celebrating. Brother lives the opposite side of Melbourne. I said "we are here at your house and no one is home". He says our son misunderstood him. He couldn't see him this weekend because he had things to do.
I say "Aren't you meant to be at TAFE". Holidays he says. I'm getting pretty angry by this stage & my boy is right next to me. I don't like to bag out his dad in front of him.....but.
"You mean you had today off & your son is on holidays from school and you choose not to see him - because you are celebrating with your family. Are you f***ing kidding me."
So I say I'll take my son back home then. He says no - just hang around for 2 hours and I'll come and get him. I explained I have things I need/want to do today. So I'm not hanging round for another 2 hrs when I've just driven 2 & 1/2 hrs to get here. He said I'll see him next week. I said you can do both driving tripsthen. He said no. I said f you and hung up.
I'm beyond angry. I'm so sick of this. But the boy still wants to see his dad. I just want to k**l him.
Sorry for the language.
I'm going to bed and try to sleep off my anger.

Re: Sleeping too much

I'm with you @utopia. I've had all sorts of crap happen to me too. And all whilst I was heavily pregnant. It's playing game's. Do you have family court orders? I'm assuming not. Because otherwise it's a clear breach of the orders. It's such a tricky game. BUT stand up to this guy even if he is your son's dad. You need to, for your son. To show him dis-respect is not on. We are not door mats. If you turn around next week and drive again, what does this show your son? I'm pretty sure you know what I mean. Gosh, I really feel for you & yes I'd be angry too. If he's not prepared to drive to see his son, it's really not showing any care for him .
I'm really sorry this happened today. It's so lousy. But your son is most definitely lucky to have a caring mum such as you. I think from what I can read this far your son no doubt is confused by it all. End of the day, son's want their fathers love. Wether they really get that is another thing. I think your situation is the same as mine. When my son's get older, they will see who was there for them. Actually yes, I do recall you telling me just the same thing, not too long ago. Be kind to you tonight.❤😘☕💐
