Re: Sleeping too much
Love it @CherryBomb. Thought you were but didn't want to put my foot in it either. I've done that too many times on here too. 😜💜😊

You do realise borderlines don't really know moderation @Kurra. Well that's my excuse for now. But it seems like there is so much to work on right now. I think I need a manual.....how to be a functioning human being😳😜😏

Re: Sleeping too much
I finally realised that it never had been and never would be just about me. My friend gave me the most valuable gift I will ever receive in this life.
I learned a different perspective. 🎁

@Former-Member Please be patient with your son and his response. I know this is hard for you and would be really difficult for me too. If he doesn't respond I'm really hoping you don't let that dampen your achievements. You know how good you've felt about that. No one can take that from you not even your son. They were your achievements. Of course I'm really hoping he responds appropriately but if not get back to us so we can help you put it back in perspective. Thinking of ya💜😊

It's really good to see you in a good mood @Kurra. It's shining through and dragging me a bit with you. I've learned one lesson though in the coolest kind of way......don't argue with Kurra in a good mood, she has heaps of ammunition to outwit you. 😂👏😎😀

Re: Sleeping too much
TBH @Former-Member If I waited for my kids to get how much I love them and needed tham to respond a lot of the time I would be a lot more upset. I have decided that I am better off looking for "company" from others and let the children do what they do regards affection and nice gestures. It keeps me pleasantly surprised instead of constantly dismayed and reading my self worth in their actions or lack ... gets the pressure off too.
Re discussions .. I get triggered a lot .. the whole Tiahleigh murder .. is a big trigger cos y brother & I was abused by foster fathers... triggers are everywhere .. I am just glad that I dont have to cope AND keep it all secret .. am relaxing my expectations on what I do .. I am used to be switched into urgency mode ... but thats not necessary any more as I have a safe situation now ... ... I am ok.
thanks for being there .. just to chat ... about the light and the heavy stuff.
The deaths were 20 and 30 years ago ... ttheir lives and struggles are still a part of me but not the whole of me.

Oh dear, hope I'm not rambling too much. Nice to have somewhere to put all that, I feel lighter.:) Hope you're all OK with me sharing.

Oh I'm so sorry @Appleblossom. I can only imagine how often you would be triggered by news items. I'm so glad you've found a place out of most of the quagmire of your upbringing but I know it will always be with you. I always wish that the people who give you a hard time could see the strength and resilience that we all see here in you. You are truly a role model for so many here. If I'm honest you were the first person who displayed an understanding of what I was going through with giving up SH things and I will be forever grateful for those conversations. I became somewhat human through them. Sometimes it is so hard for me to give back to you because I can't begin to know or understand about the immense difficulties you've faced in this life. Please know that I am always here for you in whatever capacity I can be. 💜😊
