Re: Sleeping too much
Not rambling at all @Former-Member. Maybe tonight has opened the floodgates it needed to. I was feeling guilty because it seemed all about me and sometimes I find that tough but I guess I invite it because I'm so open too.
anyway I'm so sorry for all your losses. I can only imagine how much of a wake up call and how scary it would have been to find out your son was on suicide watch. I know you've suffered a loss that no mother should ever have to experience. It is comforting for me to know you and @Appleblossom have found a strength to get passed this. You have incredible strength to get through this.
I guess I thought I had got passed it too. I have buried my head in the sand I think about lots of things. Last night I had a reality check from my son's girlfriend as we talked for the first time about our mental health issues. When I finally cracked the first time and I had been suicidal for 6 months prior I had not thought through anything and it was my family who found me. We have never talked about it. Last night were the first words spoken about it and that was with his girlfriend. Maybe this my wake up call.
i really hope you get to have a conversation one day with your son about this so he knows how hard you fought. I know that's a way off but one day he'll know. Hugs @Former-Member💜😊

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
Any day you don't feel suicidal is a good day but I get it that your days are often and usually a battle to get through - I understand this - been through alll the tough stuff but SI is something I have not felt for 30 years - and even then - not really serious
But I guess you are into "touching wood" when you say anything like that - things can change so fast
Thinking of you

My battery needs charging, the mobile that is. So will drop out for a while. I've really enjoyed this discussion tonight. Thanks everyone.

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Kurra
After feeling rotten for hours on end I would have the feeling I had recovered only to find I had not - but tonight my head feels clear and (touch wood) I feel confident to actually write it now
I have really let things run to seed around here - lots of dust - this happens when it gets windy - I wipe the shelves with a damp cloth -
So really - I think I am past it - but do antibiotics work that fast or was I about to recover anyway?
Or perhaps it was the ointment I have for the wound in my nose - to which I cannot assign a nasty enough name - icky and yukky do not go far enough
But I think I have got through it - (touch wood)
I am not superstitious - I would follow a black cat under a ladder on Friday 13th - but when it comes to touching wood - I have to - and so do other people in my family - funny that
It's good to be back
