Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @kaybee75
Glad you reached out and shared ....
Sounds like inertia has got a hold of you, and you need some help to get out of that quicksand ❣
@Former-Member sounds like she knows a fair bit what you're going through, which is probably why this thread struck a chord ....
Can you do a sort of:
Step 1 - get your meds happening properly
Step 2 - get at least mini-meals happening properly
Step 3 - at least get from couch to bed for night, and bed to couch for day ?
My second son (S2) lost his mojo a few weeks back and slid into this zone .... day became night (sleeping all day) and night became day (staying up all night) .... meals stopped happening .... classes were missed .... driving lessons were cancelled ....
You've got to take the action required to stop the slide and turn it around, baby steps, one foot after the other ....
If you can't do Step 1 for yourself, tell your hubby you need him to take over and bring you the meds on their schedule and stay with you whike you take them.
If you can't do Step 2 by yourself, tell him, tell him you need help to get the steps happening so the slide can stop.
If you can't do Step 3 by yourself, tell him to ask you to get up and go to bed at a decent bed time, and to walk with you to do it, and the same for getting up in the morning - make sure the blinds get opened cos there is a relationship between the intake of natural daylight on the back of the retina in your eye, and the kick-start of your daytime metabolism.
Good job talking to us ❣
Please keep talking and letting us know how you're going ?
Maybe give the Helpline a call during their open hours - 1800 18 7263 - and have a chat about what's happening ?
🌷

Re: Sleeping too much
Morning all, Just saying hi. Overcast and dull out this morning, still, even the birds are quiet 😮
My dog makes me laugh🐶, he normally rushes out to pee in the morning, when i open the back door, but today - he's giving me those puppydog eyes. Guess It is wet and miserable out.
Still pulling back from my abusive family, they say I'm too thin skinned or hormonal' being vile has become normal for them and i finally realised i don't have to keep taking it, besides they're not really interested in how I feel or have to offer without using it to make trouble. Its very sad because i feel all their pain, each one. Don't know what to do.
Finally made it out the house yesterday - KYB study which was better than usual cause they stopped for a cuppa. One bought in pumpkins from her farm to give away, another a plate of cute mini cupcakes. Asked for prayer support for son's grad & where i might find a nice frame and what to do with my hair. I got my first visual compliment since i can remember - they said 'your hair looks lovely today' wow! They even said the gray is nice, don't have to die it (what i needed to hear). Really nice today, To think I nearly didn't go.
@Faith-and-Hope, You ok? I've picked up on where you're at from other threads & been sending you warm positive thoughts lof light & love. Especially coping with those baby dragons. D1 silent treatment must be hurtful, WH still away & ya dad convalescing (getting better). Sometimes the big stuff overshadows the millions of tiny blessings all around us - i pray you will see them more today. Only good thoughts here for you, keep shining 🌞

Re: Sleeping too much
Things sound like they're looking up a bit at KYB .... that's good !
I'm a silver foxette .... love that they complimented your grey hair 💕
D1 has started chirping my way this last 24 hours .... no ❤ 2 ❤ yet .... but it won't be too far away. It takes a lot to really upset me, and she knows that .... reckon she's thought it through a bit but is struggling with her self-respect too much to actually apologise. That will happen once we have talked it out.
Walking by the river .... looking for fin-babies ....

Is that too much to ask? I think it might be.

I'll let you know if I ever feel like I'm no. 1 in anyone's life @Former-Member
Sounds like you might need that mindfulness practice right now ....
I'm going for a shower and washing my hair, before someone mistakes me for Jamaican (dreadlocks 😏)

Re: Sleeping too much
Not at all @Former-Member 😄💗
My hubby is no. 1 in his own life at the moment. I was only no. 1 briefly until I married, then his mum started competing for his attention all over us, and then our business started 14 - 16 hours a day, seven days a week, then 5 kids .... doesn't take much maths to work out what was happening to my former no. 1 status .....
Youre right about one thing though ... it is a common marriage story.
In the best balanced relationships, I think there is a sense of importance in many different ways .... you can be no. 1 wife without being no. 1 over all of someone's life - my hubby said that best many years ago. The husband- wife relationship is not the same as the mother-son relationship, the brother-brother relationship, the friend-friend relationship and so on .... the more relationships you have in your life, the more it crowds out that no. 1 place, or idea .... to some people it is an ideal. The challenge is to keep al, the relationships from being in conflict with each other, but that's not too difficult if you lead with love ....
Room for everybody, if we choose that way.

Re: Sleeping too much
My son just rang before, I'm a bit down about it. He's turned into someone i just don't know anymore. Think it upsets me because i miss him and without him i don't have any good earth family connection. He ignored my tx messages on the weekend but rang tonight to tell me the money for my 3 Grad tickets came through to his account ok. He was doing the dishes or something, cooking he said. He's often busy like this when i ring but snaps at me if i say anything, so tonight i tried to ignore it even though it hurt my head. He said i timed payment well as its he's 'unbirthday' today (a mid year thing). He asked if i was ok to still stay overnight with my friend as he had a full house. I said "yes but i'd like to pop in and have afternoon tea with you Sunday (the day before) when there's less people everywhere" He told me he wants to leave it free to celebrate with friends. [ouch! haven't seen him for 6months, its a 3hr journey to get there & we won't have 1:1 time together 😔]. He doesn't get it or feel the same, he said "thats ok, this is why we're having lunch after the grad ceremony, so we can all be together" My heart sank that he treats me like the multitude. I'm nothing to him! A real trigger. Suddenly the clanging of dishes made it hard to think, and hurt my ears, so i asked him "what are you doing? i can't stand the noise?' He snapped back & said "well go!" [another ouch!], I asked why he can't ring when he's not doing noisy things?" He said "i'm very busy, there's just no time." So i politely said i have to go and will talk some time when he's not so busy. He said "ok then! bye"
😩 😭 😭 😣
Is it me or is he just being impossible?
Too tired these days to be treated like this anymore..
It breaks my heart 💔
I worry he might have MI with the temper.
One my two support people phoned today to say she has Bronchitis. The other (Brisbane friend) also rang, said she's having trouble with it all, had to fight to get the day off, but can't do the 2days as planned now. [Maybe I'm not meant to go]
Is it just blackdog filtering reality? Feels like psychological / emotional abuse to me. Just want to die. Probably end up having to 'switch' to cope, but then i have memory issues. Just want to smash something g right now. Crying, again. Oh dear. Hate to grumble.
