Re: Sleeping too much

Proud of myself today, kicked off a couple of big Projects around the house. 1/3 of the battle for me is finding the equipment (especially with memory blanks & disorganised head / putting things away). 1/3 Pushing through pain & laziness barriers. 1/3 Staying focused & finishing the job.

Finally realised my son & daughter a never coming back home to live 😭 so I'm moving their beds out & claiming that space for new thIngs. Sewing roo & guest room. Only took 5+yrs. Big step for me. Just hope i don't switch (did) & forget what I'm doing. Must leave notes for myself.

Found the paint in the shed abyss, said hi to the possom, braved the cobwebs. Its like time stood still here 5yrs ago when my girl died. Even her basket ball is where she left it 😞

Actually got hungry hungry today, for the first time in ages (moving). Sick of living out of washing baskets & been up and down since 8am today.

Well, sat long enough, hope I'm not boring you 😄

Actually ..... left over pizza for dinner tonight ❣

That's what the baby dragons went out and got themselves for lunch when they came home .... and now I've got big boots I put on while they were away ....

Re: Sleeping too much

Procrastinating from my decluttering a minute, drink a cuppa, its really difficult, and more so when i find things that make me cry. Just finished another box but found a notebook my daughter had among her craft things. She'd listed a lot of things & stories & kid stuff. Had a rare brief moment of joy in the middle of it to realise from what she had noted, that i had done a good job raising her for 13yrs for her to be able to think & write like she has. Miss her. Didn't totally collapse this time, and go to bed crying as usual, but I worked through the tears to finishing sorting this box that had waited +5yrs.

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member its great that you have decided to do the de-clutter. Those issues are weighed by so much extra than just house cleaning energy. If that is how long you needed, so be it.

I know my mother took many years to tidy his stuff after my brother died. I have inherited his old film reels from her death 2 years ago and I am not yet up to sorting through what I would want to do with it. I still have a few of her bits and pieces around that I havent thoroughly sorted.

It took me about 5 years to realise that my daughter was not going to move in with me after her overseas trip. I kept her room ready ..

I am chipping away at my tidying up too.

Take care

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Appleblossom; nice to see you, thanks for connecting. Grief is hard, people have no idwa, and i think its harder when there's already pre-existing MI & no family support. Do you have any helpful family? My son visits about once or twice a year, no other family has come for 5.5yrs, nor one of them have learned to go the extra mile if there's nothing in it for them. I've been to them (1200km away) 5times. The last visit was horrible, don't ever want to go back. Coming to terms with being an emotional orphan & only child. Rather that than the abuse & manipulation. How'd I get onto that. Anyway, one box a day hey, (maybe a week) 🌷

and you have an extra load to carry. Glad you're

Re: Sleeping too much

Dear @Faith-and-Hope

When I read this message this memory came from the archives of the dusty part of my brain.....of going to Art school in 1994 ( me thinks) pregnant and just wanting to study.......so there I was, just gave birth to my second son, a raging hail and stormy night and was told that if I did'nt get to the assessment at 6pm, I'de fail.

So, we went, with not 6 day baby.....it was Very Scary to drive....and the Head of the Department did'nt like babies and I failed anyway.

F####### 'em. The judges. Sell your work , prints of them on facebook me thinks. Or Etsy. Your rose you showed somewhere is BEAutiful.
