Sleeping too much

Hey @Former-Member It was lovely to read your last post. I guess that is the trade off ... living in the country .. more services or less wild life ... thanks for telling us about them... I am a city girl but weirdly happy when close to nature.

I am still in my topsy turvy sleep mode.

Your home sounds very peaceful, with wild fur-babies and feather-babies around for company ....if you do move you will need to stay semi-rural I think ...

My Dad has not been sent home today .... he still has a temp, so better he stays in hospital till they're sure he's well. No sense bringing him home then worrying that he's alright the whole time.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope it's just a tummy bug or something ... but maybe get a check-up if it lasts much longer ?

You're a sweetheart, sending love to your family despite the dysfunction .... that's what I did with my in-law family. It's taken the best part of thirty years ... but they have softened and are more emotionally functional (except WH at the moment ...)

Yes - you can laugh at my WH and me being a HW - it is better to laugh -

After he and I split I was bad-mouthing him to my daughter - bad idea - but why not? and she asked me not to - and I said "That's my last word on the subject - but he will always be saturnine"

Knowing she would not understand that - and it was my last bad-mouth on him in her presence

I wish I had seen your Tawney Frog-Mouthed Owl - I saw one of these in Healesville - many long years ago - and got such a surprise when it opened its mouth - this piece of grey, woody-looking stump on the branch suddenly turned into a frog - wow - what a moment - and then it wouldn't do it again

Nice to see you both @Decadian and @Faith-and-Hope and anone else floating around.

It took me a very long time after separation to be able to mention my ex husband without feeling dreadful bitterness and rage. So I am afraid I couldnt prevent it being obvious to my children. In the marriage I selfharmed to stopped thinking that way and they saw that first, but in the end it was just normal bitterness. They also saw that he was flirting with the oldest my step daughter rather than actually being a good father to them ... so have made up their own minds.

I also though that part of my problem of being so paradoxically naive and out there experimental is that I did not realise how bad the relationship was between my paretns and that it was more honest to have it out there ... rather than having people keeping going mad, then dropping dead. My son had a hard time but mostly the three children have had a lot better lives than my generation did ... so I console myself with that.
