Oh boy @Faith-and-Hope

That really is Wonky Husband - if you didn't already have enough on your collective plates you have to live around an ongoing train wreck

Well - my WH was inclined to close off - made him a major spectacular platitude - but my son was a train wreck - except he was a child - even at 16 he was a much being child who had the capablities of causing chaos - maybe now it's all over I can really see it

I really feel for you - the only way you can have a semblance of family life is away from home

I get it - truly - I think my ex really had sleep apnoea - and I know yours has an MI - and he can't help it either

But somehow people are responsible for their own life-line - I guess this is a point - maybe they can't help it but the results - whatever they are - have causes -

And some of us see this from our own lives and at whatever age - change our behaviour

It's easy for people to comment and hell to live through

@Former-Member

It sounds as if your spinal problems are genetic - you could not avoid it - that is more than a short straw

I have dense bones - and still a substantial muscle bulk - I was tall and lanky - still tall but not so lanky - long arms and legs though

I think my spinal problems have a lot to do with the sporting excesses of my misspent youth - long distances running on concrete paths and in cheap runners - and spine bowling playing cricket - and it's not the competition and the game that does the damage - it's the training - and in spite of everything - when caught in a swarm of bees I pulled my shirt over my head and sprinted up the street like a bullet

Talk about the Little Old Lady from Pasadena - I didn't need the motor-bike

But talking about your health right now - it isn't imposing to ask people to take you to the doctor if you need to have it checked - actually - I have a MEPACS alarms service - and a couple of times I have had the ambulance come to check me out - and before that I have had the paramedics just to pick me up off the floor

It's how you feel - not wanting to bother people is endemic - something we have to get over because if we need the help - we need it

Ah - what WAS I going to say?

Oh yes - the people at 13HEALTH and Nurse on Call have to do or say SOMETHING - and I guess they have to tell you to go to the doctor/hospital/wherever - I hate this - it's there responsibility

I was bitten by an orb-spider Christmas before last - a couple of days before - and on Christmas Eve at my grandson's house I could not bear my shoe on any longer and took it off and my sock was covered in - no - TMI - and my grand-daughters-in-law - were so concerned - so full of knowledge - I know - I was a young mother once - and wanted me to go to the doctor straight away - but I rang the National Home Doctor when I got home - and he gave me a penecillan bomb than nearly blew me away and told me to go to a hospital on Christmas Day for an anti-tetanus shot

No way - I have a cat that scratches sometimes - not vicious - she wants to stay on my lap - and they used to graze horses here so I had been asking my doctor for an anti-tetanus shot over and over - so I waited and asked him when the holidays were over - no - I didn't need it - scratching cat meant I was up-to-date with that.

Always keep that up to date - every 10 years

Sorry about my long story - I tend to tell stories - but my point is the same here - keep things up to date - know that people who give advice will tell you to see the doctor anyway to cover themselves and if your driving is bad - get someone to drive you or ring the National Home Doctor 13SICK - they bulkbill if you are entitled - and if you do have to pay - it's worth it

Sorry about the story - but yes - feeling that bad you might just get a laugh

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @Decadian, sounds like you understand all the issues, but we don't have 'home doctors in this small town. and i have done a lot of heavy lifting over the years (nursing, moving furniture, no male help around). My wheat pack is comforting.
Sleep well tonight 💕

Re: Sleeping too much

Not having the National Home Doctor Service is a real pity Tawney - it must make living in a small town so much harder - but I hope you and your heat pack have a restful night

Thanks @Decadian, & @Faith-and-Hope ☺

The light headedness standing has eased, thanks for asking💜 dizziness & nausea is less, actually can't feel any palpitations atm either, so might have a better night tonight. Just rested in bed all day today.💤💤☁

F&H How's ya dad?♿ Hope the week goes well.🏃

Praying the Lord's angels to give us double portion caring. "Angels provide for physical needs of believers as in the case of Elijah under his juniper tree" 1 Kings 19:5-7. "Jacob’s dream of a ladder, by which angels ascended and descended between heaven and earth, is a beautiful picture of their incessant activity for us" (Genesis 28:12). 🌈

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

My Dad is going well, but he has still got a low-grade temperature, and needing some support with oxygen every now and then.

They are sending him for a CAT scan in the morning to check out his lungs, and are not ready to send him home tomorrow. My girls are coughing at home, so I am guessing he has the same thing they do, and it's probably not a bad idea if he stays in hospital a bit longer.

His knee is recovering mobility really well. They get them up and moving much faster now. At his age the anaesthetic and pain meds will be knocking him around too.

Thanks for asking .... and for the faith quotes .... 😊

Hope you continue on the mend, and have a good rest tonight.

❤️

@Former-Member

There are more things that are unseen than those we can see

I have had angels in my time - there have been a couple of times when someone has appeared out of no where when I have prayed - and I could not have foreseen that

Sleep well @Former-Member
