Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member 😊

Well ... I got in a nice long walk around the bridges this morning .... was hoping to be able to post that I saw dolphins ... but they didn't contribute to the idea at all .... so .... not today. It's like that though .... I think I saw them four days out of five a few weeks ago.

D3 was down with cramps today .... sigh .... but all I can do is make her as comfortable as possible, then just get on with the day. I had a lot of out-and about stuff to do, and managed to get to the hairdresser in there somewhere .... but I have run out of steam at this end of the day. The last week or so has been a bit short on sleep, and while I can manage within the day, it does catch up on me eventually. Having a veg at the moment, so that might help me to wind down a bit earlier tonight. D3 won't be staying up with homework tonight anyway ... and S2 has the flu .... on study week but getting stuck into assignments which is good. He's loving his new course at uni .... it was always going to be a good fit ....

How about you ? How is your back today after all the lifting of bricks for the steps yesterday ? I hope they look wonderful sometime soon, with cheerful pots on them ... sounds gorgeous ❣

Hi @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Decadian @Former-Member @Appleblossom and everyone.

Exhausted after psychologists visit. Sucessful visit though. Homework to do. Hoping there'll be a cancellation next week, otherwise I have to wait 2 weeks.

Re: Sleeping too much

Have you been ok today @Former-Member? I hate to think that you have to do such hard work, lifting bricks, mowing the lawn etc. Are you entitled to "home help"? I can't remember the organizations that have it. Labour is free, you only have to pay for parts, if needed for the job.

Re: Sleeping too much

@Faith-and-Hope, glad uou got in a nice long walk around the bridges over water, good effort & sounds peaceful. Do you think the dulphins are seasonal? or come & go with the tide or something? Are the ducks still up offcthe ground?

D3 & S2 sound under the weather. Maybe cook up a big pot vegie soup or heavily spiced Spagettie Bolognaise. Just goota get them through it. Really great S2 likes his uni studies, makes it so much easier.

What do you have done at the hairdresser? I don't need to go much now I've grown my hair long enough to tie in.

My back is pinching on & off but manageable thanks for asking. I too am looking fwd to the end product. Maybe i can post a pic in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed. Was working on wood steps but don't know what I'm doing so the bricks are safer. Slow & steady wins the race.

Hi @Former-Member, Only lifted and shifted bricks for about one hour, very slowly, and the mowing I just stop when its too much. Its true its toouch for me to manage here, trying to get ready for selling up eventually. Oct Nov be good. On the other hand, I wonder if its keeping me going, alive. Glad your Psychologists visit is Sucessful.

No, I haven't explored "home help" Definitely not old enough for aged care package and people are expected tobhold down jobs with my level of disability so just figured there's no help with that. As long as I can do it, no matter how slow, its better to. Hoping i'll get better at it, though the gutter cleaning is troublesome

Hi @Decadian @Teej @Appleblossom @Former-Member, @Shaz51 and everyone.

I don't think it's a particular time of day, but might vary according to the seasons .... it's an interesting question .... It's really a case of pot-luck in terms of coming across them on my walks.
or come & go with the tide or something? Another good question .... 😊
Are the ducks still up offcthe ground? Haven't seen the ducks in the trees again .... lol .... but they are all over the ground .... usually in small numbers .... which was another reason it was weird seeing 50 or so up high in the trees ❣

Hi @Former-Member, @Faith-and-Hope, @Former-Member

had a day where Ive been all over the place and also feel exhausted. Managed to swing wildly in and out of control all day with baby dragons pressing my buttons and me not reacting well. 😁 Managed a big walk up the hill and a few minor chores. Dog happy though.

Great this psychologist looks like they are working out for you @Former-Member

Glad your not too sore @Former-Member. I'd be proud of all the things you are taking on on your own, way to go

@Faith-and-Hope not long now before you can recharge your batteries in the way that suits you best

sorry no concentration for chatting tonight, just woke up from falling asleep with iPad 2 inches from my nose.💜😊

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

It's hard work - going to a psychologist - I used to do written work for one - many years ago - but with my latest psycho-therapist I worked hard - but wrote only a little -

Different rules for different schools - do you have to write your work or think and remember it?

It can be exhausting - I sometimes had to ring Life Line when I got home

I hope you can get an appointment next week - it's hard work - and you want to keep on top of it - later on in your therapy you can leave things go for a while between visits - but earlier - and who can say when it's earlier and later - you need to see someone more often

All the best - I hope you sleep well after all that

Decadian

@Former-Member

Hugs ❤️❣

Rome wasn't built in a day .... and baby dragons exist to turn our hair silver .... it's their job from the cradle .... hang in there ....

Fom the Quotes thread - "Some days are diamond, some days are stone ...."

Just keep working at it and the swings should become less wide, and a bit of a stride develop .... 🌷💜

Dont forget that people who aren't trying to work out mi issues still have swinging emotions in their lives, and you have more baby dragons happening around you than most ....

Remember to be kind to yourself ..... 💐

@Former-Member

Movie sounds interesting .... might look it up ....

❤️

Re: Sleeping too much

I'm going to have to read and reply tomorrow sometime. Too tired to concentrate now.

I hope you all sleep well, goodnight everyone. @Former-Member @Decadian @Faith-and-Hope @Appleblossom @Former-Member and all.

I thought that perhaps you might be on a sickness benefit or something similar @Former-Member, then you would be entitled to "home help". Chat soon, too sleepy. xo
