Something’s not right

why can't I cope longer?

why can't I cope longer?

Something's not right alright... Not sure why I'm falling to pieces atm and short of listening ears. Hope someone here can put up with me.

I'm walking in circles at home... well, not literally, just can't seem to stay focused or finish anything... if I can even remember what it is I got out of the chair to do half the time...

And snappy with people, everywhere, rude even (which is so out of character for me), the slightest hint of being 'had' or criticised or misunderstood... oh boy, I just can't keep it in atm. The internal pressure cooker wants to explode & I don't know how to stop it.

I'm at the crossroads in life, moving and deciding if to bother starting again, or just quit on life / die.

And what's scary about that lately, is the thought of it doesn't make me scared anymore - like its just what I'm supposed to do. Do you think God would factor in a premature departure (suicide / depression?) like he accepts other illnesses that separate spirit & body?

Its just those kinds of dark thoughts, but not like crisis level or that, just trying to find my way, or other alternatives, something to look fwd to.... to keep me here. I can't see a future worth living & don't feel the internal resources keep fighting.

Don't tell me to run off & get antidepressants... I'm on them. Or psychotherapy - that's in progress... I think maybe I just want to be heard. Not changedchanged (disapproved of)... just cared about... Is that too much to ask from life? Oh I know God loves me and all that, but I still live on earth...

Do you know what I'm trying to say?Does anyone ever feel this way? I just feel so totally spent - the end of the line... ... ...

My two church supports are away at the moment, not that I lean on them heavy, I'm just conscious there gone...

Ha! Horrible feeling like the only close people in ya life need to take a holiday away from you, well, maybe some of the others I notice they have to deal with more, none the less - feeling abandoned 😞

Dear @ Faith-and-Hope
@ Adge @ outlander @ Zoe7 @ Shaz51,

Thank you for your lovely posts here. I couldn't post for a very time due to a tech glitch, but read along sometimesand could 'like' which some did notice.

I do dislike shallow comms

Don't trust ppl in power but figured out he email problem myself this week.

I get it that I'm not liked much, not here or irl, (or so it seems), so isolation is a cleansing for me (to not have that poison in my life). And found an invisible mirror to reflect it back, shield my heart, not react... (I hope).

Drove to Sydney to see dad yesterday, before the inevitable 'lockdown' happens. Kinda surreal that I may not see him again, and couldn't kiss him goodbye.

Hiya @Former-Member 👋😊🌷

It is all a bit surreal at the moment, definitely .....

My dad is on the other side of the country. I thought I would be seeing him for Easter, but not so, with what is happening, and I have needed to keep my D2 home and isolated .....

I hope your dad will be okay and you do get to see him again.

How are your plants going ?

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Hi @Former-Member So Glad to hear from you.

That sounds so sad & hard.

I cannot buy my normal supplies of ordinary items (to last 1 week) – the shops have no toilet paper, no soap, etc etc.

So there is no way that I can follow advice of stocking up with 2 week’s worth of food – there is none (not enough) on the shop shelves to buy.

The Chemist staff have become rude & callous – “You should have panic-bought, like everyone else” (he said), “Then you would not have missed out” (no soap).

Totally numb, this Nightmare should not be real…..

The world is not sane.

Sending you kind thoughts & Hugs.

Adge

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Really good to hear from you again @Former-Member ... its been ages! Though I have spotted you around a bit the past week with some supports of posts. Sorry to hear about the technical glitch keeping you from posting. I like you @Former-Member 😊 ... always have done. But if being absent has been cleansing for you .. then job done. I sometimes feel that I am not liked here much too, but I'm not sure. Good to hear that you saw your Dad yesterday .. thats important. I was to be travelling to Perth today, and well and truly be there by now. For a family wedding on Saturday, plus visit my father in law in a nursing home. But we cancelled our trip on Tuesday. With hubby unwell, we could not afford to run the risk of being standed away from home through further flight cancellations and possible need for self isolation, etc. And in the end, we would likely get in to see my FIL either with many being in lock down. The nursing home I volunteer at here, has gone into lockdown as of yesterday. For at least a month and then reviewed again. My own Dad remains at home, but is talking about needing to go into a nursing home soon. Glad he isnt there yet, and I am discouraging him from going just yet. He is getting quite frail though so I dont know how much longer he can cope at home. He is receiving agedcare services, but he is a high risk of falls, having already had several. He had a Dr apt today, and is staying out at my brothers farm for a few days now. I last visited down there in early December, and want to try to get down for another visit soon.

You dont need to apologise for being absent ... if being away is good for you ... then rejoice in that. Arthur or Martha? Ha ha ... yeah I get that feeling too. I have just come through a bit of a rough patch too ... still trying to pick my way through it. Getting there .. I hope. And you will too.

Sherry 💕👍

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope, it's hard all this pandemic unknown, last thing you need on top of WH crap.
I'm also glad you have your studies and beautiful children, your art and faith. Hang in there, better days ahead 🙏

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Hi @Adge, I've missed you. So sorry you've had trouble getting supplies. I'm a natural hoarder, always have 2wks supply of staples tucked away. Comes in handy when I crack and cant face the world, lock it out and myself, almost agrophobic and bipolar really, not that there's anyone in my life close enough to notice. Anyway...

Sorry you can't get supplies. Ya have to think outside the box. I find wool wash makes a good substitute for soap. Some skin sensitive people have to use sorbolene moisturizer instead of soap, it works. I've had to use paper towels + tissues when run out of toot paper. But also, dark coloured face washers are reserved for buttock cleaning. Hose it off,vse ya wool wash the clean and hang in the sun.
Its all inconvenient though. Chin up 🙏
