having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @utopia

I just had my shower and I am going to bed after this post - but I like what you wrote and don't want to take this chance of missing answering it

I understand what you said - with my parents my father had enough of my mother and TS and for years he kept things quiet and we talked a lot - and at the end he told me how proud he was of me - that I had done something he could not have - and I know both my parents had terrible regrets and yet that was what they chose - and now they are both dead - and that part of my life is behind me

I guess my mother was not ready to parent two children a year apart in WW2 with Dad in an essential industry working long shifts - and I was obedient, honest and rebellious -

But yes - it is powerful to remember that they chose to behave like that - and TS still does -

But when I was born my father and the rest of the family were all thrilled and as you say about your father - regarding my mother - I refuse to suffer because of her cruelty and her unintelligent mind

Yet - I must be a bigger person - I believe I am - for I do feel really sorry for both of them and TS for being that way - for making those decisions - how terribly it must be to suffer regrets like that - but it was not my choice

Okay - time for bed - back later

Yes, I guess you would be worried about your boy. It's good for them to hang out with their friends.
A few of my daughter's friends work alot and some of them are away or busy. So I feel I need to get her out and about. Next week she'll have some friends to hang out with.

You're amazing driving so far. And then going out to the movies. I hope you have a nice time.

How do I find the link to the "Trauma" webinar? I missed it.❤

Hi @Decadian glad you're on the mend. 💜

@BlueBay I hope you sleep well and wake feeling better. 💕

Re: having a bad morning

Hi everyone
Had the worst nightmare last night. It was my dad had died and no one told me. I found out in the tribute section of the paper. It was horrible. And then people everywhere my family at a party. Such a messed up nightmare. Not sure now if it's these new meds I just started. Think I'll write it all down for my psych. And I will ring him to see if I can see him on Tuesday

Re: having a bad morning

That sounds awful @BlueBay 😯
Nightmares are horrible. Yes, meds can cause them, so can PTSD, hard to know. Did you get much sleep at all? My night was very restless. Grr! Was hoping to do something different today?

What are you doing today? 💕

Thanks for info on webinar @utopia. 😊
I hope the drive goes well. 💗

Re: having a bad morning

Thanks @Former-Member. Have the boy in the shower now. He didn't want to wake up - typical teenager. But I just want to get going - so I can have some relaxing time this afternoon.

Re: having a bad morning

That is a terrible nightmare @BlueBay

I had some of those myself - it's your mind preparing you for the eventual time when you yourself will realise at a deep level the father you love is not the man you think he is - the father you love has given up.

And I know how this feels - but he is choosing this - mine did for a long time - but eventually he must have realised that peace at any price is no peace at all and got back to me

This is what I hope happens for you - that your Dad will put your mother in her place and get back to you - it might happen - and in the sane and sensible part of your brain this is settling for "never".

We have no control over what other people choose to do and what they chose to be - and you - as I did - had to settle for "very unkind behaviour"- and with my mother - it ended on that note

I still care about you and you might be surprised how often I think about you

Our dreams tell us a lot about our lives - and those things we hope for and the things we want to be different - there is still time

Re: having a bad morning

Lying in bed sobbing I had a nightmare of being sexually attacked. Why. Shaking. Want this to stop. It's just getting worse.
Why me

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @BlueBay, its not fair that you have to go through this. I know it well - so hard, so pointless. Thoughts are powerful & seem real BUT THEY ARE THOUGHTS, MEMORIES, ECHOS OF THE PAST - THEY CAN'T HURT YOU ANYMORE. YOU ARE SAFE! Grab a cuppa and sit outside for a bit, watch the breeze in the trees, hear the birds, feel the heat from your cuppa on your fingers, and the air entering your lungs, Today is what matters. Be gentle with yourself today. HUGS
