having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

How is your blood pressure now @BlueBay. Going down? Are you feeling calmer?

Re: having a bad morning

@utopia
I took it an hr Ago and it was 166/101 pulse 88. I've been sitting down all afternoon. I will take it again soon. Hoping it's gone down otherwise may need to go to hospital or rest up in bed. Glad I have tomorrow off. Xxx

@BlueBay. Good it's going down. Hopefully ot will continue in that direction. Might be hubby and kids cook dinner and bring it to you in bed. A bit of pampering may be needed.

Re: having a bad morning

I'm sitting down knitting but I'm going to bed at 8.30. I'll check again later and let you know about my BP.

Hi @utopia@Faith-and-Hope@Decadian

I didn't sleep really well last night, waking up at 3.30am then 5.30 then 6.30am. I have woken up with another headache and just checked my BP. It is 153/100 and pulse 109!!!! I have just phoned by GP who will call me back. I don't know what to do; it's not as if I have been running or rushing around, i am doing not much at all.

I think once i see my psych at 11am i am coming home and resting on the couch. I need to get this down. Last time it was this high i was in hospital because my heart rate was too high 😞

Hi @BlueBay 💜🌷

Resting sounds like a good idea for the moment ....

I hope it settles down soon. Let us know what the GP says.

Hugs ..... 💕

Re: having a bad morning

@BlueBay. Have a good session with your psychiatrist. Then the rest of the day can be for relaxation. Just have an easy day. The more you worry - the more your readings will stay high. Relaxation, breathing and knitting

Re: having a bad morning

Hi guys
My BP is still quite high 179/109 with pulse 100. I'm trying to rest I'm not anything strenuous. My GP rang and said oh it's not dangerously high just wait until you take your med tonight check it in morning if high then come and see me. Why would I wait another day. I feeling shaky and headache and lightheaded. I don't know what to do.

Re: having a bad morning

@BlueBay. My blood pressure was like that. Didn't discover I had high blood pressure until I went into hospital. Nurse was floored - 195 over 113. So now I take half a tablet in morning and half a tablet at night. But my blood pressure can still be like yours is today.
When my pulse rate was high - I would spend 10 minutes doing my breathing relaxation exercises and the nurses would then take it again. I could get my pulse rate lowered fairly well that way. But not worrying or thinking about it - that helps. Can you just sit or lay down comfortably and just focus on breathing in and out. Start with 3 deep breaths and then breath at regular rate. Any time your mind wonders - don't worry - just go back to thinking - breath in - breath out. Try 5 or 10 minutes a few times a day. You'll be amazed how it helps with your pulse. And I just feel relaxed afterwards and no longer worry about what was causing me distress earlier.
Let us know how you go.
