having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

@faithandhope
I couldn't go into craft. I stayed on my bed and knitted away. Then had a sleep again. Almost finished my scarf.
I feel so tired not sure if it's meds. Or the fact that I needed it so badly.
I'm struggling to get out of my comfort zone even though I've been here many times I am really struggling.
Anyway hope to not cry tonight and get some sleep.
I still feel so alone. Having dinner on my own and then rushing back to my bed.
They all prob think I'm weird. ☹

Re: having a bad morning

Congrats on nearly finishing your scarf @BlueBay. That brings a sense of achievement right there ...

Dont worry about what they think. You balled up so much tension inside you waiting to get into hospital, and then suffering the disappointment of the mix-up, and then having to wait some more ....... all that tension has to come out somewhere ....

I think you will find that the more positive outlets you can find for all that balked up tension and distress inside you, the less time you will spend in tears ... even if you San only manage a short walk, or sitting in a lounge area with others somewhere nearby .... even soending just a little bit of that energy on a smile for someone will help you to burn it off more positively .....

Think of yourself like a kettle full of steam .... you can cry it out, walk it out, knit it out, craft it out, write it out, talk it out .... but it's gotta come out somewhere .....

Here if you want to keep writing it out @BlueBay

💜🌷💕

I don't know what to do @faithandhope. I'm so lonely but feel I need to be alone. It doesn't make sense. I feel so destructive. And to top it off its PMT time!!!! That's all I need. Had dinner veg soup now back in my bed.
I'm such a wrecked person.

Re: having a bad morning

I hear you @BlueBay, and I understand ....

Its a process you are going through, and there will be times of confusion and loneliness .... but you know that's why you are in hospital .... because there is something wrong and you need to get to the bottom of it .... and you will.

This is why distracting yourself is so important. While you are not dealing directly with the psych, meals will take up some of your day, and showering some more, and sleeping some more ..... but there will be other times in the day when you are either by yourself, or joining in classes, or sitting in a lounge area, or watching TV or something.

If you don't feel up to spending time with anyone else, find something for your hands to do while your mind is working through its lonely feelings.

Can hubby bring you more wool for another scarf ?

Can you do adult colouring in books ? I know a lot of people who enjoy those ....

I love crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. They are my thing ....

More hugs ❣

And more 💕

You will get there.

@faithandhope
I did ring hubby to buy me some new wool tomorrow on his way home from work.
You're right I do need help and I'm in the right place.

Attagirl @BlueBay ❣

We need to be our own best friend sometimes ..... this might be a little space of time when you can practise your positive inner self-talk .... in the way you might encourage or cheer up a friend who is feeling miserable .... only that friend in this moment is you ..

..

@Faith-and-Hope

I really like that saying with the picture about being your own best friend - I think it applies to all of us

@BlueBay

I am not at all surprised that you are struggling there - you have waited so long and battled with so much - now you are given extra medication and you are feeling all you could not bear to feel while you were still out in the world - but you are safe now

Really - the best place for you is in hospital where you can be cared for - and don't worry at all what people think about you - they are in hospital for their own reasons and you are there for yours - and we all know you better - you aren't ready to face them yet but you will be

After all - trying to stay in the same place and go on feeling comfortable is really hard - the weather out here in the world is terrible - cold and stormy - and I wish I could stay in bed all day - but I have to get up because my back aches so much -

One thing about being in hospital right now @BlueBay - the weather out here is atrocious

Re: having a bad morning

Hi my dear friends
Another day. Still totally exhausted. Went to 2 groups today then had lunch and then straight to bed. Waiting for hubby to pop in. Almost finished my scarf. Hubby is bringing me different wool so that's good I can start another scarf!!!
I rang my therapist today and lost it with him. I sent him an email to apologise to him. I hope he understands my apology.
It's so tiring I don't know why could be the meds.
Anyway thought I'd say hi and love and hugs to all.
I do need a big hug right now. Xxxooo

Re: having a bad morning

Well done @BlueBay. 2 groups today and lunch. That's a huge improvement. Remember, it doesn't happen overnight. Slow steps. Keep breathing. You are doing great! Keep it up.

Hi @BlueBay

Sounds like your day was better - very good to read 😄 You will have to take a photo of your scarfs and share them with us - they sound lovely. Pleased you are feeling a little more settled. Sending you a big, warm squishy hug 🙅❤️
