having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

Who's playing? I'm just sitting in front of the TV, it's a warm room and I don't want to go to bed before 8pm....

Time is flying, you can already count down the days until your son comes home! How is he doing? Is he having a great time abroad?

How's playing in the footie? What footie, I always thought they play weekends - I'm useless with sports...

Re: having a bad morning

I'm not a 'morning' person..

I messed up something at work - it was because when I turned up there were a few customers...

my mind wasn't very clear at the time ..

it wasn't a big mistake - entered the transaction too fast and didn't slow down to check - I fixed it

but the manager was really annoying - when the customer was still at the counter making some negative

comments which is not good...

later when the customers left he kept going for a while and it was very annoying

why do managers feel the need to make negative comments ?

depends on the manager - this bloke is inexperienced as a manager but still....it's a problem with his personality..

I reckon - if managers have something negative to say that is unhelpful and not encouraging

they should keep it to themselves

Re: having a bad morning

Good night @BlueBay, I hope you have a good nights sleep! I am medicated at night, so I normally fall straight asleep and when I have nightmares I try some self soothing first or take more medication.

@jamesle2015 it is not professional of your manager to give feedback whilst the customer is still present. He can salvage a situation out of control, but should not put you down in front of a customer. That shows more of him doing a bad job than you. Mistakes are human and as long as you learn from your mistakes, there is a certain amount of them you have to make. I'm sure you didn't ride your push bike without help or free handed, when you first started?

Perhaps you could nicely say to your manager how he made you feel today? It is a two way feedback street, you can give feedback too, just remember feedback rules - google them and read up on them if you are not familiar with the concept. Try rehearsing what you want to say if you never did it before.

Hope tomorrow you'll have a better day!

Yeah @Former-Member, me too .... funny how that's the first thought ... right ?? 😆

Hi @BlueBay, if I haven't missed you already .... I just had a girlfriend over for a very late lunch ! Our time control goes a bit haywire during the school holidays. I can't keep anybody sinchronised !! If brunch is a cross between breakfast and lunch, what is the cross between lunch and dinner .... lunner ?? ..... don't think it's gonna catch on really ....

I hope you get some quality rest tonigh @BlueBay. Tomorrow is another day .... see what it brings .... good things happen too, and it's one day closer to your boy coming home ❣

Hi @Former-Member 😊. I'm tucked up in bed waiting for the time to go to bed .... 😄 It's just the most comfortable place to be right now.

Hi @jamesle2015. Are you new to the forums ? Sorry you had a bad day at work .... hope some of the company around here can lift your mood a bit .... helps to blow off some steam tho. Everybody makes mistakes, but some people are less tollerant than others .... makes me wonder whether they struggle to forgive themselves, or whether they are the ones to blame everyone and everything else for their mistakes, cos mistakes are not allowed in their thinking or something .... anyway, they're not with you now. We are 😊

Re: having a bad morning

Sorry the psych didn't ring. I've had that happen alot with doctors and their receptionists. Feel so stressed about it all, I probably won't go for a long time.
Due to have tests etc, but can't bring myself to get there.
Finding that everything seems so stressful, nothing seems to happen easily lately.
That's why I try to hide away as much as possible.
Goodnight everyone. I hope you all sleep well
New day tomorrow, let's hope it's a good one. 😊😴💜

Re: having a bad morning

Good morning @BlueBay and everyone else,

I was sleepless and decided to finish a project that is due for discussion just before lunch. Been up for hours and can now see the sun rise. I think I'm heading back to bed, sleeping in comfort, knowing that my task is done!

Hope you all slept well and have a nice day ahead!
