having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Thanks Nik. I thought that I might have said something wrong.
I'm new on here, still learning.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @NikNik @Decadian@utopia

I am struggling. We had a counsellor come this afternoon from the dementia of vic and she told us what to expect in the near future with my MIL. She will possibly forget who we are, boy did that hit me. I started to cry feeling so sorry for my husband and how he must be feeling.

@Former-Member I am sorry to read that you were abused as well. Yes my own mum doesn't love me, doesn't support me. all i ever wanted was a hug, a simple hug and even from my dad - but i never got it.

the treatment i got from her i can't explain it is so hurtful, so soul destroying and has cut my heart up. I am at the moment waiting for my psych to call me back, and can't stop crying.

and now i've heard that my dad may have dementia, although not diagnosed as yet but is getting lost down the street and forgetting things. great he will probably forget me too 😞

today was a crap day at work, i tried to stay 'happy' with customers and co-workers but i am sure some have noticed by behaviour and the way i look.

i just can't be stuffed doing anything anymore.

i am so damn emotional lately, crying at the drop of a hat, can't seem to be strong enough. oh my mum would say how weak i am for crying and for seeing my therapist. well i can't help it if i am not strong like her.

god i hate her so much, i hate her.

You've been through alot sadgirl. You don't have to try and be strong. Tears aren't a sign of weakness, it's a sign that you've been terribly hurt. You will get through this.
You are strong that you can still go to work and care for your family despite how you feel. I hope you can get as much sleep as possible, so your body/mind can recover.
❤

Why didn't my psych ring me today? I left a message, told the receptionist how bad I feel and still waiting for hospital admission. She said she would pass the message onto him, but he never phoned me.

So now i have to wait until next Tuesday to call him again because he is not there tomorrow.

So much for professional support 😞

Re: having a bad morning

Dear @BlueBay,

I know how devastated, disappointed and angry you might be feeling - at least that's how I felt every single time I felt let down by "the system".

I have since learnt that there could be many reasons why they don't call back and for me the biggest improvement for this dilemma is to set up a couple of safety nets. Can you include your GP? My GP is more easily accessible than my psychiatrist. Can you talk to Sane or another helpline? They have helped me to bridge gaps until I could get professional support. I rather ask for a little more help than depending on one source when I feel shit. It is always ok to talk to your psych when he eventually calls back and just say, thanks for the call but I got it sorted.

Anyhow, I am so sorry he did not call you back! Do you want to hat here for a while? Any topic you want, I'll be online for you for another hour or so xoxo

Hi @BlueBay

I actually had a good day until about 3pm when I got tires and I've had a few things that distressed me tonight, but nothing major.

What are you doing at the moment? Are you watching telly?
