having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

Yes @BlueBay

I have been there - and sometimes it felt as if I was a little girl who got lost - but in reality - I think I was better off in the long run -

But it hurt during the time - I know how it hurts - I know what pain you are in - I know your despair, your rage - your wanting to strike back

And I will not tell you that it is wrong to feel that way - I know how that feels - I know all about what you are thinking and feeling

However - time does pass - and in time you will find your way out - I know you are a decent person and hate the way you feel

But believe me - your parents will suffer so much more than you as their own time runs out - they will regret all they did - and - it will be all the worse for them if you are able to tell them that it is water under the bridge

It says in the Bible - "forgive your enemies - it will heat burning coals onto their heads"

Well - that's not why I forgave my parents - I did it because I loved my father so much - and my mother - somehow - but they regretted what they had done - and my mother died regretting it

And that is the truth - and it saddens me even more deeply that all the wrong that was done

Work on it @BlueBay - you will get there

Eat your chips

Re: having a bad morning

I'm sorry I wasn't online @BlueBay. Shit what a bad day you've had.
I try hard not to say should and shouldn't when it comes to food, especially if it's an emotional day. If I want chips I have them. I don't need anymore negative self talk when I'm already down on myself. But I love the idea of sliced apple in a bowl and chips on the plate.
Are you feeling any stronger / safer now that your husband and eldest are home?
What plans will you put in place tomorrow incase you have a similar day?
Rainy days for me are pajamas and the heater going. Reading a good book or watching tele lying on the couch. But I love going for a walk when the rain stops. The smell of eucalyptus in the air. Beautiful.
Do you have a punching pillow? I punch a big overstuffed cushion when I get really mad. When I'm sad, I write. It doesn't even have to make sense - just random words that pop up in my head
Do you do aby craft, knit, paint, etc. Can you sit on the couch and blow up balloons until you calm down - crazier things have worked for me.
I hope to hear from you later.

HI @utopia

Sorry I didn't reply last night, I was in bed and fell asleep.

I'm off to work today and I already have a headache, funny how I get a headache when I have to go to work!!!

I really did enjoy staying home yesterday in my pj's (haven't done that for a very long time), had the heater on, knitted my scarf, made a soup for dinner, played with the dog and sat and listened to relaxing music. I did have a nap wrapped up in my beautiful warm shawl a lady gave me. I felt like a little girl all cuddled up, it was nice.

At times though I did fall into my negative horrible place and lost it a few times, but was okay afterwards.

I did want to go for a walk if the rain had eased or stopped but unfortunately it didn't stop all day and night.

@Faith-and-Hope after eating my bowl of chips; later on I did cut up an apple and peeled a mandarin and I did enjoy that. The crispness of the apple, the clean taste in my mouth. Thanks for the good idea.

Hope you have a good day today @utopia xxxooo

Hey @BlueBay

It's good to see you in one of your brighter moods spthis morning, despite having to go back to work today, and having a headache coming on already .... you are probably already aware of those lavender and peppermint sticks they sell in pharmacies ..... I find them very affective in helping to treat tension headaches, either with or without other medication, depending on how early in the headache I get to it, usually.

I hope you can find three things in your day to consider blessings .... maybe a customer will be really nice to you .... maybe you will see a fur or feather-baby somewhere that makes you smile ..... maybe a rainbow will happen in the sky while you are coming or going or looking out a window ....

I will be thinking of you .... maybe we will both be sitting down over a cuppa at some point in the day without even knowing it ❣

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @BlueBay

Take it easy at work today - what a long time until 6.00pm - but all things come to pass

Yes - there is a lot of tension around your job - yet I think you would like if it was a more workk-friendly environment -

I eat chips with my salad at times - I love the salt and vinagar kind - but the salad does have that clean - fresh-in-the-mouth taste

Broccoli though - horrible - I want it chocolate flavoured

About the headache - mm yes - I like those jelly beans they sell in pharmacies - they are made with glucose - and while this might work for me and no one else in the universe - it works for me - so I buy a small packet because I know in advance I will eat them all - and for me - I think that sugar hit helps me - and I don't always eat jelly beans - only when I happen to have a headache when I am at the pharmacy

And I eat all the blue ones first

This day might be long and tough - but I am thinking of you and a lot of other people are listening too and commenting

My suggestion for the day - apart from the jelly beans - is - darn - I've forgotten - ah yes - keep to yourself as much as possible - I know you like dealing with the customers but if your less-that-helpful co-workers get on your wheel tell them you have a headache - and ask them to let you just do what you can and serve the customers

And take a break - if you can get outside - look at your phone - I think you do anyway

Hi @Decadian @Faith-and-Hope @utopia

I kept myself busy at work today and tried to stay away from my co-worker/friend.

She was annoying me at times but i just kept quiet. Headache still here, feeling tired.

Re: having a bad morning

Sounds like you handled it really well @BlueBay ....

I've got a bit of a headache now .... I'm going to try some Fisocrem on the back of my neck. I think it's a tension headache for me. Hope yours fades quickly and you have a good night ....

Cold here. My Dad is at home and sleeping now. I'm rugged up in the lounge .... going to sleep in here till I'm sure he's okay and he's stronger cos my bedroom is too far away to hear him if he needs help.
