having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Hi @BlueBay

Don't start anything until after you have sorted yourself out in hospital - after all - you don't have to think much about anything there - you are safe and you have a bed and your meals and therapy - and you can take a good look at everything and talk about it with the staff

Things will be so different afterwards - how do I know - I have done that - a long time in the past - but it works - I am a living testament to that.

I know how it is with your parents because I have been there - and for far-longer - as a small child I stood up to my mother - and did she hate that - and she gave me a got of grief - as an adult - I left - and although my father was fine after a time - and was really proud of me - my mother never got over it - and when she was dying I saw the regret - but it wasn't my regret - I had done nothing wrong - all I had done was to protect myself

And so will you - you mother is a dictator and your dad isn't going to rock the boat

But that boat - ah the boat no one wants to rock - it's in less than 2 feet of water and on the beach they give away icecreams - so go ahead and rock the boat - if you choose - but after hospital

Everything waits until you are healed - and then you start to work on these things when you mind is clear

Yes @utopia@Faith-and-Hope

Let's start Squishing Away our Anger on the Forum - well - I mean - tell us about it

I will go to an art/craft place and find some of it and pinch and pummel and squish away - I get tense at times - this will be perfect

Btw - I don't think I can do this in a taxi - or on the shuttle - ah - now - I will play games on my mobile phone - that's how I quit smoking - I played games on the phone

We all have to do something when we are watching TV - or whenever we need to do something

Hi @Decadian @Faith-and-Hope @utopia

I had an appt with my GP this morning to check my bp. It is still high 169/102. I have to keep taking this new medication and go back to see him on Friday. I just feel yuk, really down and no energy. I have decided I am going to stay home today, not going to art therapy. Just need a day to myself. I have put my pj's back on and heater is on, made a cuppa. Going to make a veg soup for dinner and then i will veg out and do some knitting, listen to relaxing music and play with the dog.

I really need to get this BP down. The headaches have subsided which is a good thing. But feeling a bit dizzy is not a good thing. I feel like i am just 'floating'. Weird.

Anyway, i hope you all are okay this morning. it is pouring rain where i am and cold. Inside is the place to be today 🙂

take care everyone, chat soon xxxooo

Re: having a bad morning

That sounds like the best sort of day for you right now @BlueBay .... I hope your bp responds by coming down nicely for you ... you have been under a lot if emotional pressure so hopefully some winding down will really help .... and the weather is just right for being cosy inside with a overly soup for dinner !!

You have inspired me to do a clean-out-the-fridge-soup myself ..... 😊

@Faith-and-Hope @Decadian @utopia

Last night I looked into dementia and alzheimers of Vic and they provide free counselling to the carers of someone suffering dementia. I go onto the email address and asked them hubby and I would like some counselling as to know how to deal with his mum having dementia.

I received an email back just now from a counsellor saying she can come to our home next Thursday afternoon. This will be really good for my husband as he tends to not talk much about things and I really think now is the time for him to speak to someone. He has agreed for this counsellor to come over.

Hoping after talking to her she will be able to alleviate some stress and guilt about his mum in aged care and explain her behaviour isn't really her it's the dementia.

Also, just spoke to my psych - looks like hospital may be not next week but the following week. Counting down.

My son (overseas) is sending photos of his holiday. He is in Barcelona at the moment. Looks like he is having a good time. He has met up with some Aussies and making lots of friends. I am so happy for him 🙂

Re: having a bad morning

All of that sounds really great @BlueBay !

Good for you putting all that background work in for your husband. You are really being proactive here !! 😊

And look at your son ! Making friends, having a great time, communicating so well with you and sharing his happiness with you .... that tells you you have done a great job with him as a parent ! Well done ! So happy for you .....

❤

Re: having a bad morning

Wow @BlueBay. You certainly got things moving in the right direction. One email & now even your husband has agreed to the visit. This is such great news.
Must be nice to see photos from your son and seeing him doing so well.
Good for you taking a rest day. Pajamas and home made soup. Siunds perfect.
Am proud of all you are achieving. You are on the right track and soon the week will pass and you'll have your hospital stay.

Re: having a bad morning

That is so great @BlueBay - I am so glad for you and your husband

This must be a tremendous relief for you - to have someone come to your home - wow - that's fantastic

And I am glad you are into help-care too - taking the day off and spending it alone and resting - that BP is a problem - and you are doing the best thing possible for yourself
