having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Yes @BlueBay

You still have to go to hospital - you need to - you must put yourself first here

I have been reading what you have been writing for weeks - I have been taking note - and I really get it - I understand. You are not having some weepy little pity party - you are in deep shit and the thought of hospital right now is keeping your going

Don't worry about work - if only you can do it - then that's not your fault - some people to it - some people teach - other people move on because they are in the wrong job

But that is the manager's problem - not yours - it is his/her job to provide on-the-job education - not yours - unless that was in your original contract and I have a feeling there wasn't one

You have had one crisis after another - and this is something I really understand - I freak out - get totally useless ring Life Line - forget to eat - find things impossible -

So - I have done this for decades - hence the name - and I have learned to ride it out - but I certainly know what it's like to be totally overwhelmed with life

Hi @Decadian &faithandhope
I'm over it. My day is crap. I am so angry at my so called friend who works with me. She told me today that I am too negative.!!!! WTF
I am negative because of my illness. Does she think I like to be like this. Does she realise what it's like to cry all the time. NO so she needs to shut up. Maybe I am too negative. My life is one negative piece of crap. Friends are so cruel sometimes.
Going to GP to check my BP. I'll come back on here after.

Re: having a bad morning

@BlueBay. YES you definitely stillvgo to hospital. YOUR HEALTH is more important than anything else.
I understood how you are feeling. My old job, where I got sick and put on Workcover due to acute stress depression and ptsd. I was part time. I job shared my admin position. Then there was a full time admin. When she was sick for 5 months, Management didn't replace her (save money). So my job share person and I had to try and do twice as much work. We were never slack and always put in 100%. Then the full timer came back to work and resigned. No her position would not be filled. No us job sharers could not increase our hours - so my job share partner quit. I was on my own. 3 days a week trying to do the work or 2 fulltimers. I did this for over 6 months. We would get a girl to help but she would quit or never come back (hard to find admin willing to work in mental health). I kept struggling on. Kept telling myself it would be over in 3 months and then work would be good again. Didn't happen. Just got worse.
By the time a very sick and scary client came in & was yelling and quite dangerous, I was no longer on my A game. My stress had been too high for 2 long. When I asked Management for help with client - I was told to deal with it.
Yep, they left me to meltdown. Management didn't care what was happening to me.
Anyway, my point being, YOUR health is more important that getting a job done. Most employers don't care. Figure they can replace you. They don't understand how one little bit of extra stress, can tip us over the edge.
I've been on Workcover for almost 2 years. During that time, no staff contacted me to see how I was. Management however tried every tricm in the book, to try to stop my workcover going through. & they have done everything possible since to increase my stress levels further. I start getting better - they try & sometimes succeed in sabotaging my hard work.
Don't let any job or any boss do this to you. You are worth far more than your co workers could ever know.
Being a single parent, my son has suffered terribly watching me mentally waste away. I won't even go into what he has seen.
So please @BlueBay, don't put your work before your health. I guarantee they wouldn't put your health before their business.
Please go to hospital as soon as you can. Take whatever time you need to start feeling better and getting stronger. This is your time to heal yourself.
(Sorry for the long letter - but I don't want anyone to go through what I did).
Am thinking of you and wishing you all the best

@BlueBay

I have been flat out busy all day - can't imagine where my time went

Listen - you are not being negative - anyone who says that needs a comment-refit in their mouth or and attitude transplant - what do they know -

People say what they mean when they write - sure there is a space in the understanding from the written word to the mind of the person reading it - but when a good reader is at the top of their game - they see far more than the rattle-mouth who is busy thinking up their answer while you are talking

I don't know what she thinks - but she doesn't have an understanding of your situation right now

It's the weekend - thank goodness for that - take two days - and worry all you need to - if you are worried - you are worried -

Of course you don't like it

You're my friend by now

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @Decadian and @utopia @Faith-and-Hope

I came back from my GP. he wanted to check on my blood pressure. Still high 166/102 and a throbbing headache. He has decided to add another medication to help bring it down. He is working this weekend and said for me to ring him anytime if it goes higher. i am a bit scared and worried about heart attacks or stroke - this is not helping my headache or blood pressure.

@utopia I do know what you mean about work - they don't care; if i was to leave they would just employ someone else; when i go into hospital they will still carry on. so in a way i am being used with very little pay.

i am a very hard worker, i take pride in my work and when things don't get done i get angry because they're not done.

i just feel so tired, in a way i wish my GP had of put me into hospital tonight to reduce my blood pressure. but if it's still high during the weekend i will either ring my GP or go to hospital.

Re: having a bad morning

@BlueBay. So glad you went to your GP. Yes you are still in rhe high range - unfortunately stress just makes it worse. I know. Yesterday my bp wasn't so bad 149 / 107. The tablets I'm on stop me being in the scary range 191 / 120. (That was first day at The Melbourne Clinic). Didn't even know I had a bp problem. Every gp visit is centered on my MI Health.
We are very alike in the fact that we both take pride in our work and put in extra effort to get everything perfect. Unfortunately without reward. I think people like us - perfectionists in the workplace & not liking having to work with idiots without brain cells - tend to suffer highly from stress.
So, have an early night & try and do as little as you can this weekend. & if your worries continue to build, please see your gp again on Monday and get him / her to put you in hospital (sometimes you need an advocate to help you get what you need).
I wish you the best this weekend. Am happy to talk anytime.

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @BlueBay

I was flat out busy yesterday then was busy with an on-line issue last night - it's strange how life can change from sitting or working alone at home to busy in every direction

I am glad you have joined the forum @utopia - it's great to have you here

And @BlueBay - I am glad you are keeping in touch with your GP - maybe he can get you into a local hospital until you get into the hospital where you have to wait for such a long time -

This doesn't seem right to me

I have been to the Melbourne Clinic - over 30 years ago - I wonder what it is like now? Back then the therapy was good but the food was terrible - but I was put in there for a rest for a few days and sedated and sent back to my problems at home - with my son - and I sometimes was asked by the other people there what I was there for - just a few days break - and it worked

I wish both of you the best

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @Decadian @utopia @Faith-and-Hope

Just come home from a session with my therapist. Talked about art therapy and he said he would like to see me still go. He said it's about working through my issues through art that will help me. Even though I find it extremely confronting and hard I will go back, but maybe not this Tuesday.

I am going to have an easy day today, do a bit of housework. Hubby has gone to visit his mum in nursing home and kids are at work. So it's me alone at home with Jersey (dog).

I told my therapist today about my co-worker/friend who told me yesterday that i am always negative. He said it's hard to hear the truth!!!

My therapist suggested that next saturday is going to be a 'positive saturday session'. no negative comments at all. That will be a hard session and an interesting one.

I got a bit angry and told him - well i don't care anymore about anyone. I said that i find it difficult to control my emotions and behaviour because of BPD and that i don't like it at times either. But that shouldn't give my friend the right to tell me in my face.

I keep thinking about what she said and it's making me really angry, fragile, vulnerable and hate.

But i am the type that can't say anything for fear of confrontation. so scared of that.

Blood pressure still high side, took my new med this morning but feeling a bit light headed.

I just wish everything would be back to normal if there is such a thing as 'normal'. i just don't want to have to go through anymore crap again. I feel like it's 2 steps and 3 steps back. and i don't know if i can do this anymore.

Should go and clean the house. at least that will stop me from doing something stupid and from crying; because that's all i do lately is cry. my whole life is a cry; everyonen knows me as 'the sensitive one' the one who cries all the time.

well i can't help it.
