having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

Thanks @Decadian

I will take it easy. Last time my blood pressure was this high I ended up in hospital via ambulance!!! I have taken more meds and taking it easy. I will have a bit to eat for dinner and then an early night i think. And tomorrow I am going to stay in my pj's all day. haven't done that for (i can't remember the last time???). I forgot i have a psych appt tomorrow but i may cancel and see him on Tuesdey. I just want to stay home in my pjs.

I think this extra stress yesterday and the triggering stuff from art therapy has caused the migraine then causing the high blood pressure.

Yes MIL issues - i can't do much more at the moment. Will wait to see what happens. The nursing home take about 80% of her pension. she doesn't need anything except every now when she asks for a new top, or pjs or face cream. at least she is well looked after, something we couldn't have done having her at home at us at work.

At the moment I have to worry about myself and my health, physical and mental.

My son is at the airport waiting to fly to London. He called us before and has sent me a few text messages. He has put photos on facebook as well. he will call us when he lands in London later on tonight. I am so proud of him, he is an amazing kid; he is so brave.

Yes @BlueBay - you are right to take time out- but I suggest you ring your doctor and tell him about your BP and migraine - it might move you faster up the list - these things can happen

Glad you don't have to do anything else about your MIL - you must put yourself first right now

It's your BP that is causing your migraine and your BP is high because of stress - and I am glad you are taking a jammie day - I did yesterday - it worked - I woke around 5.00am - and went back to sleep after I took my medication - and woke up fine - but I will have those days again - I can't imagine life without that happeningf

And I am also glad you are so proud of your son - and now he is off to London - what a great chance for him

Take things easy - you will be much better after enough time and some peace - to sort yourself out

@Decadian

I've just checked my BP on my own machine and it is still high 165/96. I will check it in the morning and if it is still high I will call my GP. Yes I will ring my psych tomorrow morning and let him know what's been happening.

Yeah I know my stress is causing high BP which is causing my migraine.

Early night tonight and hoping tomorrow brings no more migraines.

How are you @Decadian? how was your day?

chat tomorrow, hope you sleep well. take care xxxooo

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @Decadian

It is very windy where I am today and now raining.

I am in my pj's not doing much today. I went to bed early last night and then started to not feel well. I said to hubby i would see how i go during the night, otherwise i would have to go to the hospital.

I didn't sleep very well, I woke up at 1am, 3am and 5am. Still have a throbbing headache, I am going to call my GP this morning to let him know; i took my BP this morning and it is 159/96, still high but not as bad as 200.

I remembered I have a psych appt this afternoon, I think I should go and let him know about my latest stressors and my health. He may be able to push me up on the waiting list for hospital. That would be good if he can.

Oherwise, today I am staying home, resting, maybe do some knitting and nothing much.

By the way, our son arrived in London after a 6 hour delay in Amsterdam. He sent me a text this morning at 3am.

What plans do you have today? Gosh that wind is picking, it is very strong down here.

Chat to you later xxxooo

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @BlueBay

The weather is so horrible here I have just got up - and it's blowing a gale but we haven't got rain yet but we will soon I am sure - I feel really cold

I hope you do get bumped up the list to get into hospital - in the meantime take sickdays at least - to keep your BP down -

But then - you can always go to the ER and if your psyche has you on a waiting list you might get in straight away - it's a thought

But your plan for today is a good one.

I'm not feeling crash hot myself - but that's because of the weather - lots of hugs and I will be in touch later

Re: having a bad morning

So glad to see your BP coming down for you @BlueBay - likely because you are prioritising your health and well-being and resting up.

Hugs to you and @Decadian

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @Decadian and @Faith-and-Hope

I've been sleeping, sitting and knitting, playing with Jersey (dog) and just had lunch.

I have phoned two organisations that have helped me over the years and donated a small amount. Feel good that I have done that!!

Seeing my psych at 2.30pm and I have just called my accupuncturist and am seeing him at 3.30pm to see if he can help me with my migraines. Normally I come out of there feeling totally relaxed. It's time I feel like that again (even if it's for a little while).

BP is still high but not dangerously high, called my GP this morning and told him and he wants me to monitor it today and I have to go back to see him tomorrow night.

Migraine is still lingering - just took some more strong meds for that.

I'll let you guys know how I go with my psych today. I am so looking forward to relaxing with accupuncture after my psych session. Just what I need 🙂

Re: having a bad morning

That is a good plan @BlueBay

That's is good that you are seeing your psychatrist - I remember in the past - when my son was alive - one of the staff members at the clinic where I used to go told me my psychiatrist could get me a bed in that hospital when there wasn't one to be had - but as hard as that sound - it's possible

And when I have a migraine I will be prepared to do anything that might help - if acupuncutre has worked in the past - the chances are that it will work today - I pray so

You sound better today - it must be that your BP is down - and that you are gradually feeling more settled - but you also feel like this because you know you will be getting that break

You need this and you deserve it

All the best and hugs -

Decadian
