Hugs @outlander. It's super hard when you don't feel comfortable talking or asking questions.
I get pain kind of everywhere :face_with_rolling_eyes: Very sharp and specific mid cycle/ovulation pains, very crampy and achey pains in my belly and back when I have my period. Not sure about fake ovulation, sorry. Sounds super wonky 😏
That third question of yours is one I have feared before with surgery so I get it. It's one I found the joys of last year when I had my last operation which was on my lower back and around my tailbone. I had to tell them as I figured they would find out anyway 😉. They were helpful and reassuring and made it as not awkward as it could be but it did make me feel yuck to think of and have to allow help with. Maybe the post-op pain relief they might give you will help in a couple of ways if it happens.

Re: A question for the ladies
lol, yes pain everywhere is a good way to describe it. yeah its very sharp and specific in my kidneys, im going to have to bring it up as its starting to worry me a little and cant keep running to the drs every time it decides to happen. more just a reassurance thing I think.. the achy pains are annoying, its like needing to stretch the muscles out but doesn't work anyway 😏 it really is wonky and so confusing, he cant ask where I am in my cycle cause I never can tell. stupid bodies.
um yeah an operation in that area, they would've found out either way. I suppose if it happens to come in that time ill just let them know as a just in case thing. that would've been super awkward having to need help, im sure the nurses are use to it and wouldn't give it a second thought but for us- that's abit of a different story now isn't it. hopefully the pain relief will do both things at once, so I suppose that wouldn't be too bad. @CheerBear

Re: A question for the ladies
It really sucks to have to deal with it all @outlander and it can be debilitating 🙁 Add the worry and the unknown about what it is and I get that it's more than annoying.
Big hugs. There's lots you have to deal with and it sucks that this is another one ❤

Re: A question for the ladies
@CheerBear thanks for getting it. it helps to know that im not alone even when it feels like it im both looking forward and not looking forward to trying this contraception thing. im hoping it helps even a little bit. I spoke with the gyno about it and he said it might be quite painful to go in as ive not had kids but the heaviness may have worked in my favour. at least its in a hospital so if it gets to much they may be able to offer something to just take the edge off if they need to do what he explained if they cant get it in first go.
can I ask did you tell others about these conditions- family'friends I mean not health professionals? I don't think its something that I have to tell them about, and I think my mother will be quite difficult when I mention any form of contraception and I definently don't want to tell her the one im getting, she would suspect ive done 'it' but I aslo cant handle any more meds im already taking. its put me in abit of a bind. would you have any suggestions?

Re: A question for the ladies
🤞 it helps @outlander. I'm not hugely lucky when it comes to anything med related but there are pros and cons to weigh up and having options is good.
I kind of had to tell others outlander as having the kids means I need help when it comes to anything surgery related, which there's been a fair bit of for me (not all related to this but all the same kind of thing). Now I don't care but when I was younger I cared a bit/a lot and kept a lot to myself. My only suggestion would be to remember this is your body and your life and it really isn't anyone else's business. It's kind of empowering I find, to be able to make choices that you don't need to justify to anyone, and to choose what you want, and who and what you share your stuff with. "None of your business" and "just because" are pretty great words (though they can take some practice to say) 😉😘

Re: A question for the ladies
I like those words @CheerBear lol that's what I was thinking, I don't have to answer to anyone, I guess it comes a little bit down to the experience ive had rather then my own choice sort of thing. I don't really think its necessary to tell others, maybe if it comes up in a topic but not like a sit down or randomly come out and say it. Yeah, having littlies would've made the difference me thinks. thanks heaps for your help and for being open, I appreciate it and you in general 🌈🦄💙🧡💛💚❤💜

Re: A question for the ladies
I think when you've had experiences of things not being in your control, of things being done to you not with you, of having choices taken etc., then anything you want to and can do to get that back is important @outlander. That's my experience with this stuff but it's taken lots of time and practice to see it that way. I also realise I could be misinterpreting what you meant above by experience and not your choice too. Sorry if that's the case.
I really appreciate you too @outlander, lots and lots 😘

Re: A question for the ladies
no @CheerBear you are on the right track, that is possibly why I like things to be in control or have some control over things that affect or are around me and the fear that comes if I feel like im loosing control or have no choice in the matter. but I also don't like conflict so im very hesitant to mention anything to anyone else in case its like having my choice taken away. theres a difference between sharing thoughts and experiences and having a one sided convo which is often what happens- the end of discussion- type of convos. the only one im coming to accept is the new diagnosis and kids, not fully but its a little better a week on and knowing its not actually anyone whose done it, its just something that's happened and is unfortunate.
