Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

I have been doing a little more searching this morning on costs and fees for pools closest to me @Sophia1. I am starting to think that the pool I am going to for sessions with the physio might be the best for my needs at the moment and I will need to absorb the cost somehow. Once my physio sessions end it will work out to be a little more expensive to visit the pool on my own but it is a necessary step to me being able to return to work. I need to be both physically and mentally much better than I am at the moment.

My general health is ok but I am very unfit and struggle with even day to day things like housework. I get very tired very easily still and cannot concentrate on things for long - both of these need to improve dramatically for me to be able to return to work. Teaching is such a hard job when you are physically and mentally well - it is near impossible to do the job when you are not! I do miss the kids and the work but I also know I am not capable of functioning in that role as yet. I am aiming for some kind of return to work in 4th term - so around 3 months away - but will need to show significant improvements over the next couple of months for that to be a viable option. The aim is to be back at work for 3-4 days a week by the beginning of next year (in February).

I think these are realistic aims but I also know that there is a lot of work that needs to be done to reach those goals. The annoying thing is that I need to be back at work because I need the money but without that money coming in I cannot do everything I need to do to be back at work - very frustrating!

this one is for you to @eudemonism @Adge @Former-Member@Maggie @Shaz51@outlander @Appleblossom @eth @Bunniekins

@Teej @Former-Member@Owlunar@Mazarita@Exoplanet @Bluetoo@Dearprudence9@Sans911@MDT@TAB@TheVorticon

@Former-Member@Former-Member@utopia @The-red-centaur (your user name is the hardest one for me to remember)

I cannot remember any more names of those who are on the threads on the lived experience side...

help me out @Shaz51 or @Zoe7 you are good at this...

this is not about you needing to respond...of course if you would like to that would be lovely...this is about my letting you know that I feel for your realities....hoping that you find some peace and comfort in your days...

the other side of the coin is ....if I have offended anyone..please understand my intent is not to undermine or judge anyone..

hmmm

ps....you might all need a magnifying glass to read the words...looking back at the image....

oh well perhaps you could see if as a distraction or something to work on...might even bring a smile to your face...then it is worthwhile

@Sophia1@eudemonism Going back a few posts in your conversation. I found this some time ago, it speaks volumes to me, but then, pictures always do.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Love the quote @Sophia1 - reminds me so much of working with kids and letting them know it is okay not to get something right because those mistakes can be learnt from as much astheir successes... not everyone can get everything right all the time - and what is right for one person may not be right for another - this is what makes our world so complicated but also every individual so unique.

Re: Living with Ourselves

btw @Sophia1 - not all posts are coming through to me as emails this morning but notifications seem to be working - others may have the same issue - just a heads-up incase this is happening for others on this thread.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hi @MDT My back is still very sore but I have had 2 nights in a row where I have slept without nightmares so that is a huge win.

How are things at home with your Mum going now - has she backed off a little? What are your plans for the rest of today? I am resting up with Toby atm.

hello @Maggie @eudemonism

Well said...that is even another take on having an opinion..having a conversation...

definitely a valid reason for explaining about not judging others..not knowing there story...not needing to know their story either...

thanks for sharing

Re: Living with Ourselves

Who is Toby @Zoe7 ?

It's fine yeh. She and my sister went to a craft expo this arvo so it's nice and quiet at home. I'm just about to plan out what I'm going to apply for this week. And what I am going to search for vis a vie jobs.

Cancelled a lot of my subscriptions too. Need to stop the bank from leaking funds. Canned xbox (not online, but the other extra pack i subscribed to), spotify and linkedin premium.

Hope I hear back from some of those things I applied for too.
