Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @outlander

Had to respond quickly as had my therapist appointment.

Going to hospital is not my idea or choice it was his comment if my symptoms worsen to the extent of needing hospital..observation..more sessions..

As for extra support...we are just a smidgen over the boundary line where mental health support workers assist.

The carers association helps me with outings but the staff there are not trained in dealing with severe depression...more a listening ear for those supporting others..like yourself with your poppa.

I had a local surgical procedure on my back not far from my other operation a few weeks ago now.. it isn't infected..but inflamed and very bruised...I had two lots of strong antibiotics and have stopped them yesterday.

I cannot do my other back stretches...

I will get there..

Good to hear that your symptoms of infection have decreased...hope that you receive some good news there..

thank you for the basket of flowers..

also your offer of help as always.

I cannot stay on here for too long at a time and some days cannot get here at all due to life stuff.

these are freshly picked for you

There's been a sudden death in the family. So as a result I've kept to myself for a few days. And I've sought counselling and professional help.

I'm glad you have a supportive husband & therapist, yet feel for what your going
through. A step back sounds better for you than going back to hospital; but
sometimes somethings aren't possible, then whether it's loved or hated, sometimes
somethings - like some space from the whole world, where you can really rest,
recoup, recover are what happens. I hope you get to step back enough to be able to
heal quickly & well. Your absolutely right about supporting others being part of
sharing your own support needs as well. I'm afraid of the pain, my brain just won't let me think about that. I hope I'm as brave as you when it happens. I am dreading 2 weeks without my puppies, stranded at my Sister's without a car for escape. I find her lifestyle absolutely exhausting! I haven't even left home yet & I just want to come home!

Love to you Sophia1

Dear @eudemonism ... very sorry to read that you have experienced a recent death in the family. Clearly a shock. Glad to hear that you have sought professional counselling and help. Please take care and check in when you can, though I totally understand your need to keep to yourself for the past few days. There will come a time however, where you will likely find you want to talk more about it. Hopefully your counsellor is filling that void for now. But remember we are here for you too. As you may know, I recently suffered (just on 5 weeks ago) the loss of my dear Mum, so I can understand how you may be feeling.

Yea I'm a bit besides myself ... trying to do what i got to do to get through ... but also knowing there's alot of stuff i don't want to face and am avoiding ... basically because i know things are different now and things have changed + I'm also the same person with the same illness... -which is very complicating and difficult to deal with at the best of times let alone when I'm grieving...

Re: Living with Ourselves

thank you @Sophia1 they are beautiful

that must be tricky being just that tiny bit over the border! I do hope that maybe something can be worked out though, have you thought about trying out for NDIS? you may be able to get some more supports even though your abit over the border

I hope your therapist went well yesterday and your pain is abit better even a little bit.
thinking of you as always
