Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Hi @Sophia1 I read what you write, & always appreciate your thoughts (& expression).

Even though I don't write much myself - anywhere on the forum.

I think depression is a natural part of healing, just like when you fall over & scrap your knee; then your body does things to heal it - when you fall over & find yourself facing things like surgery or trauma, your brain, which is part of your body, does things to heal. Sometimes the scrapped knee can get infected, it needs more care. That's sort of how I see depression, like the infected wound, it's a sign that something needs more care. Often the scrapped knee doesn't get any particular treatment, a bit of a wash & a slight limp - but in time the body is still able to heal it. I see tears as a way of our thought processes washing the wounds & the lack of sparkle in a smile or less enthusiasm is it's limp. It may heal with a mark, like a scarred knee, but the hurt will lessen & the body will strengthen, so that it can move on. That's what bodies do 😉
I'm glad the cyst they found was benign, I hope your recovery is going well
I'm glad your Husbands problems were found early
I'm sorry your Son went through so much with his Father at times, & that you Mother
doesn't want you to visit again
Keep thinking about that exercise . . . I think that's an exercise in itself 😉
I don't blame your messing feelings, I think I understand them a little. Feel what you need to feel, but know that I & many, many others are wishing you better ones
Vent away girl! I do, & it helps me! It's like getting that infection out . . . like
squeezing a pimple {YUK!}, it might hurt a little, but it just might help it heal!

You will get through this . . . it will pass

Love to you @Sophia1

Thank you all for your support, words, pictures

My crying is feeling like overflow at the moment.

Then there is no feeling...just blank...nothing...

I have had my therapy sessions out of whack for a few weeks.

I have a therapy session this afternoon.

I will discuss further managing my boundaries around verbal abuse from some calls from family member.

I had a system that was working well even though exhausting.

What works for a while changes and then I have to try to reach the person from a different aspect.

My sister has not been in touch and forgot about our dinner arrangement before she goes away. She is now on her way overseas.

Helping younger son is exhausting also...he needs my support with his new build and also new job.

Husband needs support with his health as he is very stubborn.

He is very supportive though. He does try to understand ..very hard when you have never experienced anything like it.

He does not get how depression can suddenly take over and devour me..He tries to be supportive and kind.

Hard for others when we become this empty body where the mind has left a great dark abyss..

I know that you all have so much yourselves.

Self care, venting, or just pressing support means the world to us all.

I might not be around for a while.

Then again I might.

I do not have a clue.

I am thinking of you.

I will be back..

I am still supporting you even though you cannot see my words.

@Exoplanet your analogy made perfect sense.

I strongly believe that the mind and body are so entwined emotionally as well as physically.

I do hope that I have not upset you in reading my words. This is why I have not tagged you over here.

My state of mind at the moment is something that I have to deal with. I will get through this I know.

Please all look after yourselves, practise self care, believe in yourselves and be proud of how compassionate and supportive you are.

@Exoplanet @Maggie @Bunniekins @outlander @Adge @Former-Member @Former-Member @MDT ..good luck with your interview
