First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

Me too @eudemonism and to top it off main addiction I used to fill in days when not working has lost its shine. Uncharacteristically stopped just after starting a few times recently. Just too much outside stress to enjoy it. And yes it’s part of the problem. Sighs.. now body falling apart under withdrawal 😬 aches pains at least can sleep and very deeply. Even got a stye or something in eye and nerve pain as speak. Guess one of its functions was masking pain. Now am on ‘pause’ its worse lol. I got rid of prescription addiction earlier this year, time to knock at least one other one out and reduce and modify another . Ive been washing stuff down with around 10litres of coke a week for last 7 ish years. Tried substitution the other day and body would rather go without seems. So go without it is. Sorry for going on. I’ll be around today any if you need to talk

Your experiences sound terrifying...

Are you able to find support from your mental health team?

I know that you do not want to listen to the same old diatribe as you explained...

clearly you feel that they are not listening to you..

I know this feeling of not being listened to and know how strong an impact it can have on our wellbeing..

Please do not think that I am trying to advise you in any way...

I want very much to let you know that I am feeling how horrid those experiences that you have described might be in as far as any outsider is able to..

My "family member" has spoken to me many times when he cannot take in anymore conversation...his mind being overrun with overwhelming persecutory thoughts as you have mentioned.

Would talking to others experiencing something similar on these forums help?

You could ask a moderator or community guide to direct you if not sure which thread...

One thing that helped "my family member" sometimes was asking do you have any evidence of what is believed to be persecutory?

I feel helpless in responding to you...I have no answers or solutions.

Finding a qualified specialist with whom you can relate..trust... is a possiblity..despite being an anxiety ridden exercise for most...

Please also ring the helplines if you feel at any risk..

I do care...
