Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

So sorry you overdid it yesterday and suffered strong pain @Sophia1 - I tend to do the same at times and become so fatigued I find it difficult to move. I hope you are resting up today and the pain is not as bad

The great thing abut the forumis you if you are here often or just now and then you have people who are more than willing to support you - and you deserve that support @Sophia1

bless you @Zoe7

I am not sure if you worked this out about me over the period that you have known me...

I push people away when I hurt the most....I hide within myself...the mask that I wore all of those years..enough said about that.,.

so finding people visiting me here..where I normally visit others...is such a huge...huge feeling of support for me....

here come the dratted tears..

did I share with you that when my dad passed away 19 years ago..two days later I went for a hike up a steep path in one of the national parks...my friend was ahead of me...as I went to place my foot on the ground...a mass of the most beautifully coloured butterflies fluttered in front of me..I felt as though I was lifted by them...they swirled and fluttered back and forth...left..more came..then slowly left me...I know that was my dad xxxxx

I have to go now zoe am very stiff and sore...catch you later not literally ...will notice your flutter later

Re: Living with Ourselves

That is a beautiful memory to have @Sophia1 - there is something quite magical about butterflies - they lift the spirits of so many - sometimes it is in their metamorphis from caterpillar to butterfly and for others it is the freedom of spirit they seem to possess- whatever your view, they are a beautiful feat of nature.

...so glad you felt your dad with you onthat day throught the flight of the butterflies - as if his spirit was around you on their wings

I will look forward to catching up with you another time @Sophia1

Re: Living with Ourselves

haven't forgotten you @outlander

good news about your hand...focus on that might help distract from the ongoing test results of other part of body..

I am doing the same at moment...

hope that your pop will let you go in with gp visit..if he doesn't is still a positive outcome...he is maintaining his independence...his spirit...his dignity...so hard for all when age takes over...

my mum is stil not talking to me...it hurts...I understand her self preservation...her load is too heavy now..she cannot add any more onto the pile...I will ring the nursing home coming up to mother's day and talk to a nurse ..let her know what is happening so that she can keep an eye out as my twin is now overseas..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Nice pic @Sophia1
I imagine this as the sort of place where people go to write books, articles, fiction and other things
Quite a nice spot

Re: Living with Ourselves

What a beautiful idea @Sophia1 - thanks for putting that image up. I can also smell the flowers.

I particularly like places with water - I'm sure we'll see some of those on this thread.

If I can't get to a tranquil place, I make one at home. Running a bath with some candlelight or listening to favourite music works for me.

@Sophia
Sorry I haven't had time to write earlier as son and I just back from overseas.
I love your new name! So happy for you . You're on the road to Recovery, slowly but surely. Amazing what they can do for you hey?
Wow you had a phone call from your lost son. No wonder you slept well after that.
Keep looking after yourself, you're #1
Lots of love,
