Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Reminds me of this @Sophia1

I feel like the middle door is a compromise between the two options. The left and the right are extremes of something.. Not sure what though. And the middle must be the balance..

@Sophia1 Hmmm the shiny one in the middle it looks like the gateway into heaven.

I think I would take the right one @Sophia1 - looks like somewhere I could take Toby for a nice walk.

Re: Living with Ourselves

yes @Razzle

I agree...

my first reaction was mist...which of course is made up of water droplets...

I actually was reminded of The Phantom of The Opera...I love that scene

I have the double CD set or whatever they call these things...

moving water resonates well with me also...

Re: Living with Ourselves

oh wow @MDT

that is far too heavy for me to consider with my current state of mind swamped in total confusion laugh..

perhaps that is another reason why I am drawn to the middle door....in a constant state of fog I might find my way...

thank you

Re: Living with Ourselves

Lol sorry @Sophia1

I pick the middle door because I like water. Haha

Re: Living with Ourselves

no need to apologise @MDT

it is my head that is the problem laugh...

now perhaps I should ask you to read back and do a count ....as my head cannot remember...

I think that the middle door is leading...😉

Are you okay @Sophia1?

Re: Living with Ourselves

I am not really sure to be perfectly honest @MDT

Thank you for asking though...very lovely...

I think that when it all gets too much...we need to step back somehow...accept that is where we are...allow the tears...yes they are flowing...better out than in...

Life can be so overwhelming at times..

When I went for a walk earlier...I received a wave and hello from a man whom I did not know...I said hello back...

I was looking through the local antique..gift...garden places and noticed him standing in a doorway of one of the antique shops talking to the owner...I overheard the conversation and thought to myself this man is lonely..

Later when walking home I met him again on the other side of the road...He started a conversation again and crossed over..He asked me if I lived locally and I said yes...He told me that he had moved from another state where the people had changed and were not as friendly...they did not return his hellos...I replied that that was not very sociable at all..

He then told me that he does volunteer work with the homeless...walks up and down saying hello and waving and people here are friendly..

I thought how lovely...

He walked me to my door...shook my hand and told me that it was lovely to meet me..

I know that some would say I might have put myself in danger...

I trusted my tuition and felt for him...

I could be wrong...I have made poor judgements of people in the past...

However I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt..

What do you think? Was I being silly?

I just felt that I struggle so much to get out...here was a person who was trying to be friendly with people...isn't that life?
