Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

What a beautiful message in your post @Sophia1

I have more gardening and painting on my list for today - it will be rewarding if I can find the energy to do both at some stage today. I am taking time to get moving this morning but should do in the next couple of hours.

How are you going today?

Re: Living with Ourselves

Thanks @Sophia1

I did get instant family - my grand-daughter was born after my daughter was married and my son-in-law finally got full custody of all his children at the same time and suddenly the little house they had at the time was bursting at the seams and now - years later - for the first time my daughter and her husband are empty-nesters - it's been that way for a couple of years - I am sure they have had a good and strong marriage which is wonderful

My daughter rang me this morning about the BBQ tomorrow - I will be making Baby Pavs - the little kids love them and so do I - it's actually sufficient that I do, Today is Friday and so I got up early to get some writing done on-line before I have my domestic help and shopping - Fridays are usually pretty busy - and I feel so much better today - better than I have felt for a few days -

I will be going to the post office to get things started for my passport in case I need it - I need to get my SIL a present but that's not hard - I know what he likes - easy shopping for that. Also I am seeing my doctor this afternoon and I can talk to him about seeing a psychologist at the clinic - better than taking a long trip into the city - yesterday all of this was too much but I think sitting and crying and talking to my fluffy, furry little feline friend was good therapy - she listened - she was still and didn't fidget. We cannot tell how cats know and what they know but this girl seems to know when I need to share my thoughts even if she has a very limited knowledge of English - she was there

Organising a new home - building your dream home - that would be a head-spin and truly - better than depression. I had reactive depression which is different - clinical depression needs antidepresents - reactive depression doesn't - the cause of depression was something outside of myself and I remember it causing me to be in a foggy mess all the time -

One thing that helped break the spell was when my then-h and I looked for a new house - it had every that opened-and-closed - fantastic place - and at the time we were mortage free and this would have meant going into debt again and I decided against it. Still - even though it didn't go anywhere and it was my choice to stay out of debt and I am glad I decided that - somehow it made a difference and honestly - I was never seriously depressed again - perhaps decision making made a difference - if it doesn't change the circumstances it gave me the idea of making choices.

I hope this works for you too but I don't like living through such situations. I have to get onto the Ministry of Housing about getting my place painted - I dread it though but it needs to happen

Sigh

Yes - the sun has shone on me today - an early phonecall from my daughter was great and also - I say again - cuddling my cat when I cried yesterday really got the good hormones working. I can't think of the name of those - maybe endorphines - pets hand them out for free everyday and mine is a champion of the free get-well buzzes we all need sometimes

Re: Living with Ourselves

Your flowers are up @Sophia1 - they are lovely

And such a wonderful thought to - that the sun can shine into our minds - I consider whatever their state - and be a healing force - having had that happen over-night was fantastic - it does happen - maybe I was on the lookout for it - maybe it was that it was wished - whatever - it worked

The way ahead might be tough but the scenery - that can be spectacular -

I had another flush of my rose bushes - I didn't pick them but it looks like a good year - I will get a photo of them the next time I have them in a vase - they are two old bushes - my daughter knows how to care for them and they can spring forth from practically nothing and they have a wonderful scent -
