Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hi @Sophia1 .....

Hearing you ..... 💐💕

I hope your friend who hasn’t visited you till now has solid reasons, because sometimes that is the case, and we can’t see into their lives without a window of some kind ...... she may have been going through a hard time of her own and not wanting to add to you burden in knowing that ...... while I don’t wish any sort of ill on her, it has happened to me before to be upset with someone, only to find that they were struggling with big things themself. I hope she arrives with a big hug, lots of love, and is there for you going forward.

It has been such a lonely time for you., and when everyone’s energy is spent, its hard to even lean on each other. I hope Frank is telling those people who enquire after you to please be in touch with you ..... not to be shy, because it makes all the difference to have people close around you. They may be mistaking it for giving you privacy.

Hugs n hugs @Sophia1.

We are bumbling along with our rollercoaster here ...... I have one enrolled in uni and managing, another is deferred with mi health issues having re-emerged. Both are attending psychologists.

I am enrolling for a Cert IV at uni this semester ...... everything seems balanced enough to give it a go, and th uni has a support system for students battling illness, injury, carer role, etc so this is a massive enabling facility for us. The kids being hit-and-miss with their attendance is covered by that, so it keeps them bouyant ......

Hi @Sophia1

Thanks for the update. Long, slow recoveries are difficult at the best of times let alone with all the additional things going on in your life. Post surgery can be a particularly rough period.

Was wondering how things were going on the home front.

Sending gentle thoughts your way.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hearing you too @Sophia1. You have sooooo much going on just now, I can understand your mood swinging too. I hope the house is all sorted soon. I’m wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery. Keep being really gentle with you because 'wow' you really do have a lot going on. I find the visitor thing too difficult because I never know what my mood will be like. I am grateful for one friend who gets it though. Actually she doesn’t get it because she hasn’t experienced anything like this at all but accepts it and me.

I agree with @Faith-and-Hope that maybe hubby could suggest them contacting you when you feel up to it. I have been guilty of being too scared to talk to someone but have checked in on them through family before. It’s only recently I understand that isn’t such a good thing to do and your posts reminds me that it can also be hurtful so thanks for saying so.

Im going ok just now, all my chaos has eased a little. I’m making plans for more than a day ahead which is a first for a while, although you can giggle because those plans are probably for a week ahead which seems to be as far as I can look into the future without coming undone.

I just wanted to drop in and say hi. I am very erratic around the forum these days but when I catch something in the moment I’m on the forum I try to respond.

💜🤗

Hi @Sophia1, just adding good wishes and gentle hugs for what you are going through. Physical and mental unwellness go together badly, I know this from past experience. So sorry you have to endure this awful time. May the pain and complications unravel and ease with each new day, and peaceful feelings return.
