My day has been frustrating @Snowie due to internet issues and the garbage not being collected because there were cars blocking the truck.

How has your day been going?

That would be frustrating @Eve7 I hope you can get them sorted out. We rely on the internet so much these days.

Been trying hard to find the motivation to do anything but having little success. Damage control.

I find that when I know I “should” do something the shame often makes me shut down and lose motivation. Not sure if that’s similar to what’s happening for you but thought I’d share it so that if it was you’d know you’re not alone. Anything you can do is a win, and deserves all the more recognition for being done in the absence of motivation. 💛

Yeah thats pretty much it. The shame makes me shut down which then escalates other issues. Also a lot of it has to do about not disappointing her or myself.

I’ve just shut it down @Snowie I’ll get gs1 to look at it.

I don't think being here is beneficial atm. Would most likely say something I'm not allowed to.

Sorry I didn’t get to reply until now and that being on the forums wasn’t feeling beneficial with how much you were struggling. If talking about what’s going on is unhelpful, let me know and maybe don’t read the second part of my reply, but the short version is that I can hear that it’s really hard, I care deeply, and I hope you’re able to get the support you need 💛

That state of being shut down is really heavy. I’m sorry that trying to do the stuff your psych suggested is triggering that for you. Do you think they’d be able to help you with the fear/shut down at your next appointment? I imagine if I were a psych and someone I was seeing said they needed help navigating that, I’d understand, have compassion, and think through how to best help them.
