Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Well good morning and happy Easter @Phoenix_Rising @Mazarita @Former-Member @Shaz51 @eudemonism @Faith-and-Hope and all seeking motivation for today!

I have had a minor victory in managing to set the oven clock back for end of daylight savings! Last time I had to change it, it was a daylong operation

To my enormous surprise my 15 year old has decided he wants to do an Easter egg hunt. This, after last year deciding he was too big for all that! So that is among my goasl for the day, but first walk dogs, grocery shopping, chemist.

Does anyone else have plans for the day?

Good morning @frog .... and anyone else up and about on this thread ....

It’s Palm Sunday for us today (old calendar) and fish is on the menu after church this morning. .....

S1 surprised us by asking about coming for lunch .... thought they were to be celebrating Western Easter with DIL’s family today .... will understand more when they are here.

Might manage a walk by the river later.

Happy day, @Phoenix_Rising, @frog, @Faith-and-Hope and everyone,

Well, today has started off a bit better on the domestic front than recent semi-feral computer days I've been having. Washed, dressed, bed made and the first of at least two washing loads in the machine. Planning on my first beach walk since getting back from down south after that. Let's see how the old legs go today. Might even put my bathers on and splash in the shallows for a bit. It's been a very rainy March here but the first day of April is looking bright.

Good stuff this day for all.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @frog I've noticed with myself...

That I dream big with my potential and possible things i could become. Heights I could reach. Writing is a prime example... Some say an ego causes suffering. I say buckle up, hold on tight and enjoy the show.

Is there anything you're passionate about the which you would like to be recognized for? A hobby? Something creative? A childhood dream that needs fulfilling?

What's your ideas?

Eude.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @eudemonism I like to write but don't devote enough time to it. Still, I've had a few bits (not quite pieces) published. I also want to give something back in terms of helping people with MI, but I have no idea how. As my kids grow up I can see more time and space for me. I like hearing about people who do amazing things later in life.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @frog I suppose the kids consume quite a bit of time which makes it difficult. What form of writing was the stuff you had published? I'm just taking day bye day. I was spending time with a few other mentally ill people. But it became to much. I ended up being overwhelmed bye it. I'm still in contact with them. But I had to protect myself from their ways and their problems. They're good people! I just don't want to become them. And become wrapped up in their issues.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @eudemonism I went in a competition writing about having mental illness when you're a teenager. They used some of what I wrote in a book, mine and lots of others. Recently I have a short thing going to be published in a journal. That makes me happy, though I don't know if anyone will read it. I know what you mean about getting overwhelmed by some people with MI. In my little team at work (8 of us) there are 2 of us with Bipolar, and the other person is very out there, talks non stop, divulges lots of personal information. So different to me, and sometimes I wish she'd tone it down!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@frog yea I think MI manifests differently in everyone. Today I came to terms with the 'fork in the road' scenario. Meaning, I am up against many forks in the road each day. And which way I chose to go. Determines the results... And because I'm so discontented and fed up with my MI... I figure... I got to do everything I can too help myself...
