Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Today's goals:

* get dressed so can get to doc on time
* take pre prepared list for doc
* carry new pretty hankie for self care support (or both, one in each pocket)
* get to the doc appointment on time.
* drive safely there
* pick up meds from pharmacy
* drive safely back home

Okay, this is me going to get ready now. Good wishes to everyone for a pleasant day.

Hello @Former-Member @Teej @eudemonism @Bunniekins @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope @Mazarita I am stuck

Just can't get going today. There's a lot I need to do. First thing is walk the dogs. Second thing is physio exercises. Then comes empty dishwasher and put washing out...

I have done medication and meditation, so that's something.

Hope you are all moving, as opposed to stuck! And there's some positives in your day.

Yea hi @frog I've written 21 song lyrics today. And have just say down. It took the energy out of me hey. Now I'm twiddling my thumbs and starting to ponder about what's next...

I prey the motivation you need be upon you. And that you enjoy your walk. And have a productive day.

Eude.

Hi @frog ......

Lemmesee .... walk the dogs .....

1. Forget there is anything else on your to-do list (so you’ve now got all day).

2. Put walking shoes on.

3. Put sunscreen on (for snowflakes like me ....)

4. Put hat on (for snowflakes like me ....)

5. Put dog leads by the door.

6. Have a coffee / tea / glass of water (to stretch it out a bit ....)

How am I doing ? By this point my dog would be leaping himself around in circles like a wind-up toy .... and as soon as the lead is attached, he is officially taking me for a bolt walk .....

Morning all .... 👋☕️💕 .... walking to where my Dad is staying to have breakfast with him before he leaves to drive back home.

Thanks for the encouragement @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @eudemonism @Former-Member @Mazarita

I have beein going very s-l-o-w-l-y but going none the less. Ventured out to get a polar fleece, even though it is rediculously warm at the moment. Winter is coming.

Hope you've had a fair-good day. I've noticed that I am without things to look forward to. Looking for inspiration.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

I have managed to finally do a quick vacuum over the floor today, had to cos someone is coming later for a visit with flatmate, so was a case of have to. Having a preprepared and frozen meal for dinner tonight to save effort. Wish I had a dog too, not an option though. I do miss my pets - A LOT.

Hey @frog. Stuck is not a very nice feeling. May I ask are you looking for some suggestions for inspiration or were you just commenting on not having any?

On the other hand, is there anything you find yourself milding interested in finding out more about, or doing? No need to reply to that if you don't want to, just for you to maybe test for something inspiring.

of course, there's always crochet with CheerBear and me over in the Craft Corner! We want to take over the world with crochet and amigurumi creatures and need all the help we can get!

But yeah, I get what you're saying having had my own times of needing to find reasons and inspiration. Look after you please Frog.

Hi @Former-Member I was kind of thinking aloud that I need to come up with some even small things to look forward to. I like to go to the movies but feel a bit funny going alone. My attempts at socialising have been really hit and miss. Seems like half the time I arrange something, the person forgets/has change of plans/etc. I'm at least going to see what's on. I also like to walk in the trees - forest bathing! So I could go to the botanical gardens.

On Monday I am going to an escape room with my son and his friend. I have to go because they need an adult with them. I plan on finding a spot to sit and read or meditate. The idea of being locked in there is a bit anxiety provoking. Then I'm taking them to a chocolate cafe. This isn't for me, but at least it'll be something different out of the house.

I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to read my book. I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow, but not planning too much yet - will start afresh in the morning. Have a good night, sleep well.
