@catgirl

Don't worry about losing responses on here....I have managed to send oodles and oodles into cyberspace..

I have two cats both very different from each other...both demanding at times then without warning can just turn their backs away..very aloof

they definitely have their own personalities don't they..

you are more than welcome cat girl...you response has helped me in return...nice to feel valued..

@Mazarita ..thanks for your posts am trying really hard not to shut down cause i know that would mean hospital which will mean my fur baby will have to go to out to RSPCA to be boarded which he HATES and i worry and miss him when that happens...i was in hospital 3 times last year and dont want that to happen again..thanks for your concern
@Former-Member ...my fur baby definately has a big personality.. over the years that ive had him i have gotten used to his quirks and issues 😻..yeh i get really paranoid that my family member hates me...i know she doesnt i am just sensitive...unfortunately music is just noise to me and cant concentrate on tv or read a book...sucks really...im glad i found this forum to be able to connect with people who understand
@whitedog ...im sorry your having a bad day..i hope your run helped..i admire you for being able to do that..thanks for your posts..they really help 👍

I have had a shitty life...full of trauma and mental health issues..didnt have a very good childhood..and in my adult life have had other bad things happen that have affected the person i am...im often too scared to go out my front door and find myself mulling over all the bad thoughts which i know isnt good..i am in therapy and hope it helps soon...i hate the way my life is and am sick of being deppresed and anxious...my dream is to be a functioning happy member of society which i have never really been..im so sad and it takes its toll each day that i feel this way...just want to be normal

Re: life is too hard

@catgirl, there's a saying that goes around the forum sometimes: 'normal' is a cycle on a washing machine. In other words, it's not something that really fits humans. Most people are weird in one way or another and often the 'happy and functional' image of people hides problems, stresses and imbalances that they just happen to be good at hiding. Our lives immersed in media often fosters impossible ideals of normality. In any case, non-normal lives are more the rule on this forum. So in a way, you are at least normal here! But I get how hard it is for you at the moment and that it's not just 'normality' you want, but not to be so troubled. In relation to shutting down, maybe if you keep writing here it might help keep your communication channels open, keep you expressing what's going on, and avert the worst. I hope so anyway. Wishing you well. Hugs on offer if you want them.

@Mazarita ..thanks for the post...i really like that saying NORMAL is a cycle on a washing machine...it actually made me smile which doesnt happen often so thanks for that
yeh i am trying really hard not to shut down..this forum is definately helping me to still communicate and am grateful you are all here ..i have DBT therapy tomorrow so need to be positive to be able to get out the front door and onto the bus to where i have to go..buses are really hard for me cause usually they are so crowded and i get paranoid about what people are thinking of me...my phsyciatrist says that they are probably not thinking about me at all..that they have their own issues to think about..which i get but doesnt always stop the paranoia

Re: life is too hard

I get it about paranoia with other people too, @catgirl. I was extremely shy and withdrawn as a child and have had lifelong problems with social anxiety. Even in my long major manic period when I ran around making friends with anyone I met, I really was bubbling with anxiety about it inside of myself most of the time. I've become somewhat adept at masking my own nervousness around other people, but this can be rather exhausting. But I also do believe more strongly now that most people aren't thinking about me when I'm out and about. Most people are thinking about themselves, in fact, lol. Doesn't fix things completely but if I just keep reminding myself of that, it helps. Sending strength for tomorrow, that you can get out to your therapy session. It may help with how you are feeling at the moment, so probably worthwhile making the extra push to get there if you can.

Re: life is too hard

@Mazarita I agree...it will probably help the way im feeling...even just going outside would be a positive move as i havent been outside for week and a half...my neighbor who is so lovely has been taking out my rubbish for me so my unit doesnt smell like rotten food and cat poo😂 i really need to get my shit together...and only i can do it...therapy and meds help but ultimately i do understand that the buck stops with me

Way to go, @catgirl, that's the attitude. I'm going to go offline for a while now. Feel free to drop in on any other discussions around the forum you find of interest or you relate to. Might be back a bit later tonight. Ciao for now and more hugs. 🙂
