Dialogue with Sane forum Forumites

Hi @chookmojo

When I write : 5 minute space I may have been writing of my own ...... Self ........ I can't take too much in and always need 5 minutes to let my mind re connect with what's happening.

Can't remember everything but that something you are ' diagnosed with' is Autistic spectrum.

But since I've known you, you seem to be highly intelligent .......

I need to just look up something you wrote about your Mum just a tic .....

Damn @Former-Member
I sometimes get that glitch too. Mostly when I have 2 windows open.. one where I have signed in & one where I haven't.

For what it's worth, I think your 'authentic' 😄

Re: Dialogue with Sane forum Forumites

I just got the psychiatric assessment back today and I'm feeling like I'm just too broken. So much wrong with me and not sure how I can trust myself. So many big words and I don't kno how to understand it but I don't want to talk to anyone abou it because I can't face it feel like my world is crumbling

Re: Dialogue with Sane forum Forumites

Diagnoses don't change the crappy experiences we have already - they just put a name to them. Sometimes I find being able to name my symptoms helps me endure them. ie. "I just have a low mood atm". "I'm having a panic attack atm". The other good thing about having something defined is opening up treatment options. Once a problem is identified, you are more likely to be able to treat it. But yes, I get you... good health is all we want - and it can really hurt when we see we are more unwell than we previously thought. I'm going through that myself right now too.

Sorry I didn't realise it was family court. Don't let them break you. It takes years to heal but we do x.

And by persisting they do. I was part of the lobby group who made state convictions omissible in the family court back in 2009 and that has helped make kids safer. I know the wheels has recently fallen off the system all over again. I keep hearing that being a victim of crime is given a worse rap in the family court lately than being the perpetrator of crime. I hope you get a sane, fair, adjudicator /justice and that anyone appointed to be looking out for the best intestests of the children are doing precisely that.

Dear @GingerWhinger

Yeah yeah, I like what you write but okay, I can going to ask you to think about this;

You write;

But yes, I get you... good health is all we want - and it can really hurt when we see we are more unwell than we previously thought.

What about if it's the people we love around us?

I have been working hard on letting my youngest son own his condition and his mood swings.....hopefully because he is doing the right thing; we will come to the conclusions that he doesnt have to be angry about his condition (medical...) and can move on unlike me and my husband .....who has a Psychiatric condition and was angry for many many years.

It feels like for @Former-Member.she has fought and fought for the right thing to happen and she has had more than her fair share of punches.....but say, if this was happening to her son or her daughter? Can you @Former-Member think, I am going through this to save my children from going through this when they get older? I feel like this with my son; here he is with a condition and Im teaching him to own it and ge through life but I was never treated like this I had to learn it???

Re: Dialogue with Sane forum Forumites

I must say......This is what I did when he moved in with me and my husband, Son moved into our unit into a room...little confined with husbands huge big desk which he loves more than the shoes he refuses to let me throw out when he wears them down to the ground.

My Mum started telling family and friends that son is nasty and uses me and I Son freaking from memories from the past and I advised with support from Sane Forums for him to get to Head Space where his drug use came out and he was being very honest with me. He went to Head Space and ate and vomited bad headaches. 5 times in emergency;2 times admitted into hospital.

shunt in head can't be removed even though diesnt work because he will die

tumour not growing

hole in head to work because shunt doesnt work is fine.

makes up with Grandma who gets very angry at me but makes up with my son.

I tell Mum she is using me as she uses a rag doll to bang against the wardrobe she uses me as her tranference model

I feel this amazing feeling of PEACE.

Son decides to live with me and husband and asks us to care for him but he goes police with memories and charges his father.

Goes back to work

I decide to completely rearrange my home around and living with junk everywhere but still on medication, son buying us all the most wonderful tv series to watch most nights called Sons of Anarchy

Son is moving forward

Son stopped all drug use and talks to my husband a LOT

I mainly keep silent because it is so exhausting

Son and I sometimes ta;lk about the tyoe of support he gets.
