Dear @Bubbles3,
It is so difficult for a relationship to not crumble and break apart at the face of any mental illness( I really start to dislike this term, sounds so judgemental). I am just only guessing here and no disrespect intended, but I caught myself feeling hatred towards my wife at one stage and when I thought about it I realised that it wasn't really hatred I felt for my wife but the feeling of being cheated out of a great marriage. Robbed of all my efforts to be a good husband and father, reduced to a mere money supply machine without getting anything back for my efforts. Not love, acknowledgement and support, but weird outbreaks and behaviours that do not remotely match the conditions I was hoping for when we got married. My most hurtful event I experienced with my wife was a few years back. We had bought a house that needed renovations, new kitchen, ceiling repairs, insulation, etc. I spent full 3 months working 12 hrs a day in my job to earn money and renovating further 6-8 hrs a night to be able to move in on time. My wife spent two weeks beforehand in hospital with my daughters and when she came up to move in she lost the plot and went off on me because I only managed to sweep the floors of the now fully renovated and empty house. I was gutted and heart broken.
So your husbands life has now radically changed in whatever way he knew before and now there is no more carpet under his feet. I feel so sorry that his lack of compassion and understanding towards your circumstances isn't there. I also wish I could give sound advise on how to turn your husband around for the better and at the same time give him some dignity and lots of love back.
Wishing you everything and more,
