Twisted -self care
Every morning I drive east into the sun.
At traffic lights I put sunscreen on the backs of my hands.
This morning I realised that this is self care,
Very rare for me.
I need to do more of this....

OH, no. @Faith-and-Hope that is just awful - no words describe it fully enough - I hope it's really temporary and doesn't mean worse levels are on the way.
Thinking of you through all of this.

Good question @Catcakes @Faith-and-Hope I had just read the news about the flooding in the north and assumed it was flooding! I could be totally wrong, because I think it's @Shaz51 who is watching the water whereever she is.
Sorry for my assumption @Faith-and-Hope. ![]()

Had the plumber in the morning to find out why. Small leak in the tubing of a water filter. Lookis like it was happening for two weeks. Rug in front of the sink is mouldy .....

Oh, dear.
sorry for thinking you were in the rained-so-much-it-flooded situation though. Silly me. I'm obviously not thinking very clearly! ![]()

S’okay. That would be a natural presumption @Former-Member.
A leak in a water pipe flooded our whole house before .... not this one. Another one. Then the massive hailstorm we had burst all the piping in our roof and the house totally flooded again. Before that we had years of roof leaks from a faulty extension .... and another major leak from a faulty tiling of an upstairs bathroom.
A garage with our stuff in it flooded at another time.
For people who don’t live in a flood zone, we do pretty well ......

Yeah .... well .... it is what it is.
I keep trying to put a home together and then it seems to fall down like a house of cards, so I try not to get too emotionally invested in it now. Like finding out late last year that we would be living over east .... just when I had put some of my paintings up on the walls here .....
Never mind. Life gets a lot worse than that, I just try to keep focussed on the best of things as much as I can. A friend coming to visit today has an adult daughter in a wheelchair, and fibromyalgia herself .....
