Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Well said @Former-Member.
Unfortunately it doesn't always feel like that. When your child wants something simple, like your attention, & you aren't able to provide it.
That's soul breaking.

Yes it is very very hard,,

Your love for him will guide you slowly through this chapter.

talk when you can..

will he do anything with you..go for a walk...sit at the beach...go to the zoo..

go and watch a film..

play cards or a board game..

do you have any of his games from when he was younger?

look at a photo album..pick photos out of moments together..

does he like the museum or the art gallery?

go for a burger or whatever they prefer these days..

you will get through this...

Not so much a "worry" but a "rant" that's not for reply.

How in hell's name could you not know what was being asked of you?

It was RIGHT THERE. In plain English. Right beside the 'username' in the text. Do you read and write with your eyes closed? You know you can install accessibility software that will read out the text to you if that's really a problem, right? If you can't figure out how to do the thing asked, or can't find it, just own that. If it's not in your rulebook, just acknowledge that. I honestly don't know what would be worse - legitimately not having the comprehension skills, or pretending that you don't to cover up something else.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Reach out, it helps when you have people who understand and can supoort you reality is, it makes you feel more alone more isolated than before. Share your load with others to get them to help carry it just isnt true it will make others run make you invisable they will look right through you
I dont know what it is about me but that makes me so much less of a person than anybody else. I just worry its beyond the point of hope i dont know what else is left, the things that are meant to help ease the suffering at the moment seem to be making it worse. Now ill go and freak out coz ive decided to not talk myself out of this post!

@Former-Member - I understand this a thread of no response, but I'm saddened by your post and compelled to respond. I don't see right through you; you are very real, and an important member of this community. Your input is always valued and respected. I definitely don't want to run from you as I enjoy reading your posts, and I find you an incredibly kind, compassionate and caring person. I'm glad you posted this post. And I'm sorry you continue to suffer.
