Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I gave myself two goals tonight, accomplished them, and yet I still can't drag my mind away from SH thoughts. It's just pathetic at this point. I'm perfectly aware that getting angry about having the thoughts is just going to create perpetual motion with them but I'm fed up with the lot of it.

Hi @TheVorticon

Sorry to see you struggling.

Can you try to give yourself a break from your thoughts by doing something you enjoy - music, something funy on youtube, sport, cold water, just something to engage your other senses to give your brain a rest?

HOPE.....we hope we get better, we hope things change, we hope we can get help, we hope.......but what if that hope is gone? What if your SI thoughts are stronger than hope? What then? When do we say enough is enough and just give in? How long can I go on like? Hope is fading into that deep dark hole and once it is gone then is that it? I am tired of fighting, tired of everyday fading away to nothing, just tired.....

@Former-Member @Former-Member @utopia

yes know exactly what you mean...

am diving in and out of the same at the moment...fighting it because have been in a similar place to where you are before..

I usually think that I have to be here for my husband, sons, family, friends etc etc..

now I tell myself ,...no ...no...no I have to be here for me!!!! I deserve to be here just as much as anyone...

so f..k this mental illness label crap.....I am very angry...I have hidden this anger for most of my life...leaking now...and finally accepting it....I can't cry...the f.....g illness won't let me....I want to wail....scream....I can't

No way am I going to let this control me totally ever again..

apologies for language ....

hoping that I have not upset you further @Former-Member I just know how horrid it is..

also apologies to all others now and in the future...

sometimes politeness does not do it...

@Former-Memberyou haven't upset me. It is comforting to know I am not the only one thinking this way.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

@Former-Memberit upsets me in the way that I would rather you and others not understand me but that is because I don't want anyone else going through it.

However I think that goes for all of us. We find comfort in others understanding us, yet we wish they didn't have to.

I always try and think of my hubby and kids when I have these thoughts. I guess atm they are my lifeline.
