Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Just need to vent.....hubby just phoned from hospital, his plateletes are down 110 from the so-called "average" 150...however they measure, I still don't know.....dfferent doctors and specialists have continued to alter his medication over the last year so now that he's in hospital, different care people are asking questions about who prescribed which medication and why isn't he still on such-and-such, and I can only answer that I do whatever doctor or specialist has prescribed (which I always ask said health care provider to write down at the time)....anyway, a blood specialist will be taking bloods on Monday. As hubby's GP and different specialists are all cc-d in any care visits, it would be sooo helpful if hubby's medical records could be checked to confirm medications and dosages...I know, that's just not reality ....just feeling a bit precious today.....once I've put the washing on the airers I think I might have myself a soothing soak in the tub and just forget about all this stuff for a while...oh, and play some of those cds I found and have a bit of a sing...luckily my little dog is part-deaf so she'll probably sleep right through...

Thanks for listening.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

How is that those professionals we entrust to care for us, be effective and empathetic, act with sensitivity and care, can be SO insensitive, so uncaring and irresponsible enough to give someone permission to take their. I'm so hurt and outraged, I almost did. If it wasnt for caring, worried family members. Calling the authorities and have them turn up outside your home is humiliating and frightening. But when it takes everything you have to stay alive, you do what is required. But hell, it's hard. Really hard. And then to trust again? Who is responsible for the caring when the carers are irresponsible?

Out of bed two hours ago but still in jim jams (pjs). Had the biggest deepest sleep. I say I sleep well, but every morning the sheets are wrapped tightly around me or on the floor, and Boogie Bear my sleep companion, is either on the floor or upside down or squaaaaashed beneath me. So I guess my mind is still on the go while my body rests.

Still wanting to find that inner peace-I'm certain I've turned a positive corner in some respects, but realize that things can go pear-shaped at any time-but am still dealing with alot of stuff (aren't we all! ) I think my emotions are more even but I'm trying to continue to be gentle with myself. I can't change what's going on for the people in my life, all I can do is continue to be there for them. I know my supports will always be there, which I am so grateful for...especially everyone on the forums, including the moderators.

I hope everyone's day is peaceful and kind.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I feel so terribly alone & not cared for, when I'm really ill.

It greatly exacerbates any sense of social isolation & helplessness that I already have.

I've been soldiering on with a nasty virus & a totally blocked ear (no hearing), for 5 days.

I might have been turning the corner (getting better) by yesterday afternoon.

Then my next door neighbour had an extremely loud party (last night) with blaring music & Game machines making Bang Bang noises.

It went until midnight, when I was trying to sleep at 8pm.

So today (Sunday) I was much more ill (again), due to lack of sleep - & I've been a non-functional mess all day, as a result.

Now I'm fairly sure that I need to call in sick, & not go to work tomorrow.

I didn't want to have to do that, I was wanting to be better for work by Monday...
