Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I had to spend Wednesday night in hospital coz my panic attack lasted from 3pm till when I ended up in hospital around 11pm.
I am allergic to do many medications I am struggling to see how I can be part of society

I'm in shock, no time to prepare. This hasn't happened before.

I've just been offered a job interview for tomorrow (this afternoon) - with the same organisation I'm working for (different region).

It's a casual position, so I don't know how I could take that whilst keeping my permanent part-time role (with same employer).

I don't see that this position can offer me any improvement on my current position - which is unpredictably changing work hours (daily), & high stress supporting disabled people with very challenging behaviours.

I've not been offered an interview for any of the positions that I really did want - that I applied for, over the past 18 months.

I feel I should be excited, but I'm not. I will be going into the interview straight after work tomorrow, feeling very unprepared.

Why is it always my fault?? I'm told I'm an intelligent person, but for some reason, I can't figure out what it is I keep doing wrong. The blame always comes back to me. Why can't I see what it is that I'm doing wrong?? Am I actually this stupid?? Have I finally zoned out of life into the non reality??? It's all so confused and mixed up in my head. What is real, am I real??? I really don't know right now.

I actually went into a major stress reaction (total overwhelm) - after being asked to attend a job interview tomorrow, with less than 24 hours notice.

I've dissociated badly, it's like I've almost completely disappeared (or shrunken down to the size of an ant)...

I don't feel real.
I feel like I am going insane
Everything around me seems to reinforce to me that I'm either going insane or something weird stuff happens

My doctor says I'm not going crazy.
He says it's the level of stress and PTSD csusinge to have trauma flash backs

Not being able to take appropriate medication has me feeling so unmotivated

Hubby in hospital having tests. He has a number of chronic medical conditions and was diagnosed with two fatal conditions in 2017. Specialist estimates hubby will be in palliative care within two years, however hubby's health has deteriorated quickly and we both believe it may be sooner. We have been together almost 30 years and our relationship is quite up and down but I am always there for him and will always care for him. He is not the most patient person on the planet so I try to concentrate on being zen when I am home with him. Thank goodness I work! The last 15 or so years have been caring for him so it still is a hard lonely slog, as many others on the forums who are in similar situations will know.....

I feel like I'm turning a positive corner in relation to my childhood trauma issues (fingers crossed) and am continuing to work hard. I am working on the anxiety and depression issues. If things go pear-shaped at any time I know I have support and knowledge and distractions to help me get through.

I can and will continue to look after both of us.
